Hello,
I have introduced raw meat to my pups at weaning age. I start off with ground meats, (chicken, turkey, beef) then as they eat more of it I then start giving them chicken wings, then chicken necks, and so on, they love RAW food!! I have seen my 3-4 week old pups eat raw meat out of their mothers bowl at feeding like they were wolves at feeding time. The pet store bones are not the same as the raw bones, any bones that are smoked or cooked can splinter. Buy pork neck bones, my guys love them!! I feed all types of raw meat, I have even fed portions of pigs that we have slaughtered, all my dogs eat a raw diet and they all love the real meat. Their stomachs are designed to fight off germs, I have seen my guys bury bones and eat them later, never do any of them have loose stools or act like they are sick. In fact if you are feeding a proper raw diet their stools will be a white charcoal color , almost like a powder. I have been feeding raw for about a year and a half now, and I am completely happy with it, I would suggest that anyone wanting to feed a raw diet go online and research it first, there is more to it then just giving them raw foods to eat. But I am definately happy with it. Just my opinion. ;-)
