I don't know any of you personally, but it seems to me LISA2004, you had hoped to make a 'fast buck' out of your friend's misfortune, if you had wanted Naya for breeding, wouldn't it have been fairer on your part, especially knowing NAYASMOM's circumstances, to have paid the going rate for Naya? I'm sure the money would have been put to good use! You get her very, very cheap, then publish your complaints for all to see.
I can't believe that you would do something such as this, if this is the way you treat your friends, in trouble or otherwise, I wouldn't want to be your enemy!

It's a shame people like Lisa2004 praying on people with missfortune for their own greed and gain. As a friend as some of the others mentioned above you should have gave your friend the whole purches amount no matter what just to help out your friend in trouble.
IF YOU DON'T WANT THE DOG BECAUSE SHE IS NOT BREEDABLE GIVE HER BACK ,IF YOU A FRIEND TO NAYA'S MOM DON'T ASK FOR THE LOUSY $200 BACK EITHER.
What a friend you are SHAME ON YOU LISA2004

I just need to ask for my own information, Did you buy her to help out naya,s mom or with the intent to breed, what was your first thought?. If it was to breed would you of not checked out the female more closley? Do you have that many good homes lined up that people are calling you and saying "hey I need a puppy" I just don,t understand with all the puppies available from good breedings why would your first thought be "lets breed her". I,ve got a nice male out of Troll Vom Haus Milinda and i,m always being told "you should breed him" but i havent but once and all the dogs are in working homes and am not planning to breed him again because of the amount of pups on the market. I needed to find another female to start working so I bought a very nice female from texas and could not be happier and didnt make a whole litter to worry about. Again what was your motive in the original purchase?

by Sue-Ann on 25 June 2008 - 14:06
I think the fact that Naya may or may not have been purchased for breeding and the price she was purchased for is irrelevant. The post says It's a Miracle. It's not a miracle, it's deception. Blasting Lisa for asking, "Can the dog have a bad bite go good and then bad again?"...is not too cool folks. If Krista is losing her house and has had an emotional rough time for whatever reason, is unfortunate. If not for that though she'd be here in 6 month to a year, selling pups from a Mom with a bad bite...to the unsuspecting public. Let's put things in perspective here.
by Bob McKown on 25 June 2008 - 14:06
It is perspective, You buy a dog for 200.00 Either your first impulse was I could make some money here on some pups, or This person is selling a dog for 200.00 whats wrong with the dog or why selling so cheap,in this instant we can only take the word of naya,s mom (whom i don,t know from adam)that her circumstances have changed drastically and forced her to sell (whitch on face vlue seems the situation) my concern is was the thought of making $$$$ out waying the need to check out a good brood bitch thourly? which seems to be the case. In all honesty how many people have bought a brood bitch with good results for 200.00. I believe this dog was sold as a pet,I could be wrong, So spay her and give her a good life and next time check out your purchases much better before hand. If breedings were thought out more then knee jerk ideas we would have a better breed.

Who buys a dog for breeding and does not check things like bite before you hand over money and walk off with the dog? $200?! You can't even adopt a puppy from the local shelter for that cheap anymore.
This is no different that any other dramamongering crap on this board. As usual, both parites are in the wrong and someone decides to make it public. As Two Moons would say: SSDD
by Blitzen on 25 June 2008 - 14:06
Why was it necessary to bring this complaint to a public list ? Could it not have been handled privately rather than give Krista more grief than she already has? She was gone for 2 days, couldn't it have waited until she got home? What was the rush?
And the point certainly is that paying a way below pet price for a pet dog is not getting cheated. In addition, it is possible for a dog's bite to change back and forth and when this post was generated, August 2007, this dog may very well have had a correct bite as it appeared to be on the photo. If you haven't experienced that yourself, then you must not have owned enough dogs yet; I promise you it will happen. This thread was resurrected from the archives to deliberatly make Krista look like a liar and someone who would breed a dog with an overshot mouth. Big deal - compared to breeding Va dogs with histories of producing soft ears, epi, and allergies which many GSD breeders seem to conveniently overlook. What does it matter what the dog's bite looked like 10 months ago.
Kick 'em when they're down............ is that what "friends" do in this breed? Sure does look that way to me.

The original post was almost a year ago when the dog was still developing. When the picture was taken at 11 months, don't you think it is possible that the teeth looked fine? Hell, your mother probably thought you were cute at 5 yrs old. Look at you now. I had perfectly straight teeth until I was in my 20s. Wisdom teeth started to come in and pushed the teeth around a bit.
It's not like she posted this picture this week.
I'm not going to goo-goo ga-ga over her problems. There are far too many people in her state that are jobless right now. Shit happens, we learn and grow from our experiences. Krista is a very young lady. She has the rest of her life to enjoy dogs. Her mom will eventually get another job, and maybe by then she will no longer be a minor and can get a nice job for herself. I wish her all the best, but she is just one of many.

Ditto, Don.

I'm aware the post was from months ago. A dog doesn't go from normal bite at 8 weeks, bad bite at 16 weeks, perfect bite *overnight* at 11 months, to yet another bad bite at 20 months. It was no miracle, it was a different dog. That's my opinion. Perhaps someone knows a veterinarian who would confirm or deny the possibility?
Lisa's post was sincere and not flaming..."Is this possible the dog can go from OK to bad from age 11 months to 20 months. In my opinion, no. How much she paid, why she bought is not a question I care to address. Krista's situation is unfortunate, but if she's caught in a lie, she's caught in a lie.
