i dont believe in this statement,,,  i think it has more to do with the attitude of the dog and who can work with and controll the dog.  my wife and i have had several dogs between us,,what starts out as her dog ends up working better for me, and vice versa,,, this goes for males and feamales,,,

so i pose a new question,,, do males bond better with females because they are females or because they feel like they can get away with more sh*t with a female handler than a male?

Would be a real test if both husband and wife spent equal times with the male dog including feeding.

I have always felt the males know when the human female is in her 'heat" cycle.. do you remember the female whale trainer who was training a male whale but the one time she came in the water during her cycle the whale grabbed her and almost killed her dragging her.

desert, no i missed that one,, i will say that i have a very "sex" driven male (the reason for a litter of pups i have),, my wife is a very dominant (for lack of a better term) bitch,,, after my wife showed him who was in charge, he now has absolute respect for her. 

as far as the time together, she has the upper hand in that,, as far as feeding goes, that is pretty much a split deal.

My experience is the dog (male or female)  picks out who the boss is and that person gets the respect. I worked/trained with a female for 15 years and her extreme dominent Gsd's and mals knew she was the boss no doubt about it and would do anything for her. She is one of the best trainers for working dogs that I have ever known.

Would that be why my dogs see my husband as the Elmer Fudd of dog training.  :)

It could be exactly why Rezkat5...My female is very strong and dominent and frustrates my wife who is a sweet natured gentle person.
