Anika- She is my constant companion. She listens attentively to everything I say. She is my protector, she has chased off two intruders and scared the pants off of someone who reached for my steering wheel at a stop light. She is the self appointed guardian of all childern, she won't let them wander and woe on any parent who over disiplines their child infront of her.
Ari- I am his whole world, he shows it with every look. Ever since he climbed a 3' high baby gate at 8 1/2 weeks old to get to me, he has decided we are not supposed to be apart. If he can figure any way out of were his is, he is on a mission to find me. In the middle of the night he will check on me, with a light touch of the tounge and worried eyes. Maybe It's when I am having a nightmare. I don't know, but it is nice to have him there.
Foxy- my late mom's Aussie. Anytime I am sad or depressed, she is right there with the kisses and cuddles that my mom can't give me any more. Foxy is very insistant on this, the kisses and cuddles are coming until I feel better, whether or not I like it. No wonder my mom treasured this dog so much.
Kira- High energy, theiving, troublemaking baby Kira, kept me so busy the first few weeks after she got here, I didn't have time to sit still, think and get sad.
All the rest are each special in there own ways, there is just not time to write about all of them. They are what makes life worth living.

Their unconditional love

My god - how do I count the ways that make them so special
Harley - my rescue from the pound. Wasn't looking for a dog but she found me. She's the smartest GSD I have ever had the honor to share a life with (that's with growing up with them, too!). She's my grey lady - because she's 9 and a sable. Certified as a therapy dog and shown me more about compassion than I could ever imagine
Erich - the big guy - he is the classic big boy shepherd - 94 lbs, with the look of eagles in his eyes. But to see him lay on the floor while my kittens climbed all over him - priceless. And he's my first ScH dog - we did it together
Ulla - my "supermodel" - she's long and slender and very pretty. She's real fu-fu girl(shoulda been a poodle). Her expression when she has to go out in the rain is tooooo funny. But she, of all of them, is probably my most fierce protector. And she cuddles up in the bed every night with me
Nick - ah -the puppy- his life has just started with me. He's big and black and just as funny as a boy puppy can be. Watching him develop is just too funny, like when he found out that the cats weren't moving stuffed animals but came equipped with claws and teeth, or when Harley won't give him that bone that she's been working on for the past few hours and he tries to take it (bad move on his part)
Each of them is very special in their own way and I've been blessed with their company

What a wonderful thread for us to brag about our dogs. Ever notice that the mean nasty people on here don't even have anything nice to say about their own dogs?

by AgarPhranicniStraze1 on 26 July 2007 - 19:07
policemom- Kinda makes you wonder huh? lol
When thinking about a thread topic I try to keep it on a positive note. It also gives us a chance to get to know about a person just by the way they talk about their love for their dog. Mean nasty folks usually don't like or have kids either. That always made me wonder about a person that didn't like kids or animals. How could you not; they're both so innocent. Glad you guys liked this one.

That's because their dogs are mere extensions of their tiny little willies. Heaven forbid a macho, testosterone-fuelled man like that would ever confess to having EMOTIONS!!

Me man. Me have big willie. Me have big dog. Big dog bite hard!... Me lie about big willie.
LOL I crack myself up.
