I'm so sorry for what happened to your dog.  You REALLY have my sympathy.  But I tell you what, if that was my son/step son.  He would get his ass kicked from hear to kingdom come.  There is a right and wrong, I would hold him responsible for the whole thing.  Blame can't go to anyone else but HIM.  I'm so tired of people doing things and not taking responsibility for their actions.  It's always someone elses fault.  I'd make him go out and dig the hole to bury poor Max in, make him aware of his screw ups and what the outcome was.  If he's old enough to sire kids, then he's old enough to except the responsibility to them. 

 Yes Mitch has done alot, but she's become a zelot with this episode.  The way she is attacking the LEO on here is disgusting.  If the time come that she needs one, I hope they know how she feels about them and takes their sweet ole time.  She's dragged up shit from many years ago....THAT IS NOT FAIR!!!  I know rescue people that give rescue a bad name.  I know breeders that give breeders bad name's, the same with doctors, vets, nurses, CPO's etc.   No matter what occupation, there's good and bad.  All everyone ever heres about are the bad.  None of the good.  Then when you get someone that just cruises the internet for what their looking for, they're gonna find it.  Regardless of the good things on here, she only posted the bad.  Mitch, you sound very young and imature.  I know alot of LEO and K9 officers, and I would NEVER want to walk in their shoes.  I thank god every day that we have them.  So something bad happens one day, do not condemn them all.  You have alot of growing up to do.

I hope you get the apolegy that you deserve, and I hope your kid learns something from this so it was not wasted.  People need to take responsibility for their own actions.  We've become a society of people that do not take responsibility for anything, and think that the world owes us something.  We need to change our way of thinking or we'll end up like Sodom and Gomorrah.

Good luck Hun.  The whole thing is a sad situation, but I'd go kick the kids ass, and I might feel better!

I think Max's Mom came on here to offer her thanks to everyone.  It should be accepted graciously and not viewed as an opportunity to start the whole thread again.

Thank you Sharon for sharing with us. I am watching what happens with you to help keep my dogs safe in the future and now. I thank you for getting back to us about what is going on. My paryers are with you and your hubby. I do hope it will all be over soon, not drag on, so you can try to put it behind you. It will still hurt as much but other things will make it feel more distant.  Ena

Sharon,  Your more than welcome,  I hope that more clarity will come from the special investigator's inquiry's... Definately keep us posted.  We all want to see Justice and Truth,  No covering up, No lies,  just the truth come out and be told and be heard.  Hopefully the noise that has been made with all the support from Dog Owners across the nation has spurred them to give the people the answers they seek,  and especially for you and Joe.    Hang in there...  Chin Up,    and know I'm NOT done yet.   I want the Truth !!   Too much is at stake for LE's throughout.  And it is the very least you have coming.  They OWE you the Truth.

For anyone who is curious...  I have a great respect for LEO,  I have many friends in LE and I mentioned before I have relatives as well,  and because of them  this is a personal issue for me,   I WANT THE TRUTH,  to RIGHT the black eye that has been given LEO's who are credible and who do perform they're duties day in and day out with the PEOPLE they are to be protecting in the forefront of they're minds. 

Sharon and Joe's Story touched me somehow and I set my mind to help in any way I could,  I have done what I can, and will continue to do what I can,  sounds like we may have some answers soon,  I am happy to know that a special investigator is looking into this incident,  I do beleive it's warranted,  and I hope the TRUTH comes out.  Whatever it may be.

I think we all want the truth to come out.
