Thank you, yes, it does work, I think I see what you are saying. Also Susie watching Vegas gait I can see the shoulder joint just as if there were no skin no muscle. I saw Vegas in better gaiting.

The one you asked me to draw lines on.

SitasMom, I don't think those two pictures are of same dog, maybe you are confused?!

I have to re read you post to make sure I understand what you're saying about the lines.

I've never seen Vegas in the flesh, so take this for what its worth. The video shows a dog with weak pasterns, he flips them, and he is moving on his hocks.  He remind me of an ASL. It's ironic that the things we seem to hate the most about the lines we don't own are the things they have in common.

Susie, it remains best to evaluate a dog to see it live in fast gait, only then one can be certain how good the anatomy is, faults after a good run would start appearing, those who are fortunate to attend shows know that, stack is not enough, it only provides a preliminary evaluation but not enough at all.

SitasMom, if this really is the same dog, the second pic was made in Germany after training for months and the dog being younger than maybe 20 months, and the first pic does show her in the age of maybe 4 or 5 years, not trained "SV" style for a long time.

I hope, I´m not totally wrong...

Blitzen, excellent post indeed, thank you

Thanks Ibrahim. I was tracing to just inside the prosternum on the photo. How do I determine where scapila and humurus meet in photos?

Sorry SitasMom, my good friend, those two pictures are not of same dog, they can not be, look at the heads, two different dogs.

The first picture, Vanessa was 1.5 years, the second picture she was 12 months.
She has not been in training for any type of show training, at least not seriously. The second photo was taking after 2 days of SV style training and the first was taken at a UKC show after 0 days of training.
She is a personal protection dog with a SVV1 title.
Here's a photo of her on her 2nd day of show training, the same day the second photo was taken (clipped from a video).

Here's a photo of Vanessa that was taken at 10 months, yet agian, different stack and she looks different again.

Her pasterns are quite long and with this stack, they apear to be extra soft.

One more photo of Vanessa, out of coat and 3.5 years old...This is a more natural position for her and IMO is what is needed to actually see shoulder conformaiton.
