In this thread Mystere saw one liver in her club but it never attained a title...This thread has some interesting conversation about the liver and blue and why the training is not usually done...

Yellowrose, the dam of this litter is a daughter of Vella, I had spoken to Mahon in the past after he bought Vella and posted on here about her having livers, up til then I did not know my girl possibly carried it. Even still, I really hadn't expected liver pups. Oh well.
I had been told that there were people out there with livers and blues working them in schutzhund but was given no examples. So as far as I know it was a hear-say/rumor. However if someone wants to work one of these kids in schutzhund I'd be thrilled, lol.
As far as the person who is flabbergasted that I'd advertise the pups for schutzhund because they come from showlines, I guess they forgot that showline dogs do have schutzhund titles.
As far as the price of the puppies, they are worth however much a person values them. I have seen puppies sold for this much and more for pedigrees of much less quality. No good dog can be a bad color, and these are good dogs, off color or not. It is not in my interests or my puppies' interests for someone to consider them to be worthless because they are priced less than their peers.
I'm well aware of the hundreds of things that can be wrong in a dog, and that there is none, not absolutely one single dog out there who has perfect conformation/temperament/health/working ability/DNA all in one package. If I had to choose I would much prefer my dogs to carry off-colors or off-coats versus any other kind of issue.
As far as letting pups go with full registration, I had initially planned to only let them go on limited only. However, after doing some research online I came across a few breeders of these off-colors who seemed to have the best interests of their dogs in mind. I echo and quote Uber-Land from a previous Liver thread:
"Liver sables anyone?

I really don't care if someone chooses to breed livers or not.
the only problem I have with it is the "type" of people who choose to breed them.
I know of only a couple breeders (they have blues, whites and livers) who go as far as to do ALL OFA health checks, not just hips, test for CDA, and they also take into consideration the working ability and temperament of the dogs long before they breed them. they look at the conformation too. all this before they consider the color of the dog. these breeders are active in showing their dogs in the UKC ring, herding, obed, agility.
most people I see who insist on breeding these colors are people who do not OFA, do not care about working ability or temperament issue's, and they do not care about conformation. look on puppyfind, you will find breeders breeding livers with weak ears, or ears not even standing and many other faults. and they aren't even testing the lines for CDA which can affect certain bloodline dilutes. they breed these dogs simply for $ and market them as "rare" or special colors.
do not breed a dog based on color alone."
If there is a person out there with a proven record of getting health checks and titles on their dogs and has a good reputation I will not be opposed to letting them have full registration. Otherwise, since I am not interested in supporting breeders who don't care about what they're breeding, I will not let these pups go with full registration.
I'm dissapointed I wasn't able to see any concrete proof of a schutzhund titled liver dogs.

I will pm you to talk privately later. However for the rest of the board the two livers out of Vella a Timo daughter. Have made exceptional pets to the two owners and their families. They have had no health issues or coat problems. They are actually a softer coat not a brittle coat.
Now for the rest of the litter. They are solid with nice conformation and sound temperment. One of wich is extremely special to me. So if that one special puppy comes out of a litter with two liver colored pups so be it. Below is D'loui out of Vella's last litter.

The Question was i think, have you seen and Livers or Blue working on the field or in competitions, i presume meaning Schuzhund
No' that was my answer and i have never seen a Blue or Liver Coloured Dog of the breed in the 5 years i have lived IN BELGIUM even walking the streets with its owner,
i did not say there were not any of that colour, only i had not seen any and certainly not in around 50 competitions i have been to in the last 5 years, so how do i say different than that
