Dog 1 & Doggman I hope I may get a response from the "authorities" and can get this resolved circumventing the importer. I have been given some hope on this one. If not I will enlist the help of Frank, since he offered. And pursue this in court in the US. So, with that in mind I will refrain from stating the name of the importer/trainer at this time. But, if all my suspicions are borne out...you bet I will tell you who this person is and to AVOID him. I am just getting into the whole GSD/Schutzhund thing (a newbie)and if I had not spoken to Wallace Payne and intend on joining his club I would have given up. And left calling everyone a crook and liar. So with that being said it is my intention that no other newbie or elder out there gets burned by the same guy... Thanks for everything guys! Hans

Hans, You may want to go easy for awhile. There may be simple and legal transactions involved that may work against you in the end. Nothing is ever 100% black and white. You probably have no recourse against the importer as you have no contract with them and they are under no obligation to provide you with anything from the information you posted here. For all you know the person you bought the dog from may not have paid for it. Your issue is with the person you bought the dog from. What ever agreement the importer and the previous owner had is outside your current situation and could be a can of worms. Your case is probably worthless and the SV is not the enforcer of deals gone bad for whatever reason. If you have the papers to process a lost pedigree application, You may want to go down that road now. Remember there is the review process and if one of the parties decides to intervene as they have every right to, the chance of you getting your papers may disappear.

Well... in the Race Horse business, if the papers were withheld for ANY reason, at ANY time the horse is nothing more than a trail horse/pasture pal. End of story. It's a good one too I might add, because people who offer shipping from race track to race track keep hold of the papers of the horse till paid in full. If the shipping of the horse isn't paid in full when brought back to the owner/trainers stable.. the horse will never race again till paid. Which means the paper trail stops here, and you have nothing more than a pet and the State Horse Racing Commission HOT on your tail.
