PSP, I thought the same thing, just didn't know if it was "appropriate" to say so. ?? is why did this breeder not want this pup back ?

by 1doggie2 on 27 March 2007 - 15:03

You have got to be kidding me, she had you buy the dog, she should have paid you. Bless you, She will be the best dog she can be for you, she knows a loving home when she sees it. Even if the breeder was not responsible for the condition of the dog, she should have given her to you. You can not tell me this breeder is in it for the "betterment of the breed" Donna

Fresh celery crips tied to her forepaws will help soothe her spirits and calm her.

The answer to Echos ?? My guess would be that the breeder had 2 choices. One, take her back and possibly end up with a dead puppy on his hands, or two resell her and make 1.5 times the profit. Ethics may be questionable but he gets an A in basic arithmatic. Or maybe it was the breeder's "friend" pocketed the extra cash, who knows? Bottom line is the pup is safe now.

The breeder used to be, but (and this is NO excuse) going through a midlife crisis, and he asked his friend to come get the puppies out of there, at least he did ONE good thing for those puppies. I agree, I should've gotten her for free, but I didn't care, she was worth the money, just to get her the hell out of there. She is a sweet heart, and I hope I can be deserving of her, one thing is for sure though, she sure is a happy little thing, she LOVES playing with her sister, Naya. Money troubles plague us all, but the breeder needed to stop what he was doing about three years ago. Don't worry my friends, it'll come back to bite him in his very deserving ass. :) Thanks all for the nice comments, I look forward to trying your suggestions!

Good job Blue Sky. She will love you all the more for saving her. It is good to know more people are out there doing nice things for GSD's. It is kinda weird you had to pay anything for her. Didn't the neglectfull owner already pay the breeder for the pup?

by ProudShepherdPoppa on 27 March 2007 - 20:03

Wouldn't you be happy if "The Bridge" was looming in front of you and suddenly someone swooped in, gave you food, care and a safe loving home? Troubling question though, you said puppies (plural)?

by Blue-Skye Kennels on 27 March 2007 - 21:03

It was the breeder I rescued her from...not owners, sadly. Yes, I paid for her, and would pay triple if it meant getting my new baby out of there. Yes, her brother was there too, luckily my friend rescued him. She got him for free, but the breeder told the lady to charge me for her...I don't care, she's out of there, and she is healing wonderfully, and her little ears are strait up, surely a sign of life! My dearest friends, after the storm comes the glorious green landscape...Glad I could be the green landscape for Isis and Naya
