In the UK we have lived with anti-docking legislation for some years now; because it's
a very long while since any ears were cropped over here, and we are therefore used to
seeing natural ears, tails on breeds such as Dobes & Rotties & Boxers took us some
getting used to. So yes, its every bit as much what you have become accustomed to
looking at.
FWIW while I aesthetically quite like the 'look' some breeds have when ear-cropped I
still feel its a somewhat barbaric habit to cut them. As much as, if not more than,
cutting off tails. We would not like it if someone more powerful in society took to
cutting bits off US just because they decreed it !
