ROFL, we'll make a show person out of you yet, Bob. Actually you might find it's fun. The proudest thing I ever did with any of my GSD's was to put a BH and an AD on a 3/4 ASL AKC CH. If I'd have been able to take her to an IPO title, I'd really have been excited. Gad, I love a GSD that can do it all and when you have one, flaunt it. Now we need to work on some OB titles - he can do that too you know Wink Smile.

Your training skills are still better, Bob...

He was born April 4. 2011? In this case besides the IPO title he needs a breed survey, too, otherwise no v-rating. Don´t waste his capabilities...
With proper training he should be able to gain a v ( he won´t run in front of the field, but that´s not important ).
Try to find someone who uses to stack showlines on a regular basis, and take some new pics, you´ll wonder about your own dog.
The gaits are very important, glad you are willing to train. I hate to watch pacing or jumping workinglines only because the owners are too stubborn to train them.

The universals better next year, after the IPO3, but that´s just my opinion.

Good luck! ( and a lot of fun Teeth Smile )

I'm a little surprised at having a discussion with Bob about breed surveys.Teeth Smile sometimes the best reason to do things with a dog is just because it's there to do. the dog doesn't care but there is always the pride of accomplishment for the owners who get their dogs out and have success. that pride is always magnified if the dog is home bred.

best of luck to you both and congrats on breeding a dog that makes you want to show him off.

You know we all grow some in our endeavors. Yes i rail against the show lines but i figure i should put my money where my mouth is. Is he a perfect show specimen not on your life But he is good in the work strong, solid, agaile and not a wreck conformation wise so why not?  I like that USA has started awarding High scoring breed surveyed dog at trials. If your going to change opinions and minds then you have to be willing to put it out there!.  I,ll be doing the whole gambit from here on out we will do the full monty can,t hurt and i might learn some thing along the way!

ILMD suprises me also!! LOL
