Shooot, evn my seven yeaar old grand daughter grasps the concept of Parvo. she worries abouut the meter readers feet.

ANYONE with that littlle regard for their own dogs,,, let alone every dog that crosses his path has. no business in the dog business. Even with no Parvo, I travel in these hot months with a spray bleach bottle, and my welcome mat gives your shoes a free bleach bath, coming and going.

I not only care about my dogs, but yours as well!

I don't think anyone can "quarantine HIM" to the property, and yep, he's been off training, this past sunday in providence RI.  I want to know how he thinks he can decontaminate 98 acres of property?  MEthinks it aint' happening.  Curious also, he has quite a few dogs, at his last fox interview there were 15 of HIS dogs on the property, when the state went in on the 26th, there were 12 dogs on the property, 2 belong to the landlord, so that leaves 10, 9 were not up to date on rabies vax..So where are the rest of those dogs? He's also got a litter of puppies that may be off the property, but he's been there handling them as seen on his FB pages..

It gets very frustrating that this jerk keeps getting away with all the bs he gets away with :(

Jakoda, he's been seen by the ACO in Barnstable coming and going from the Bettys Pond Rd. house, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's got some dogs stashed there--and on the date he was QT'd, there were also two client-owned dogs there for board & train...  One of his followers asked him last week when he was going to 'come pick up frisky and see the babies'--and those pups he was handling were in a far cleaner nesting area than his pups are usually photographed, and were pictured with color-coded ribbons on them shortly after birth to ID each one...something HE certainly never bothers to do, because he needs to be able to switch pups on his buyers to suit his whims and schemes.

Is there added concern if your live in one of these mentioned areas..and have an 11 week old puppy? I mean I read Parvo is everywhere and we are on track with our vaccination schedule, but is there added risk? We started puppy class last week at a local Petsmart and I have been taking her on regular outings. Wondering

Well, I would keep a weather eye peeled for this idiot when you're in PetSmart, because he does take his dogs there so he can show off, so if you see him in there I'd give him wide berth, dogs or not.

Aside from staying as far away from him as possible, and not just for that reason, you're correct in that the disease is already in the area, it didn't originate with him or his dogs--so I would just recommend you take the normal precautions one should always try to employ with puppies: be mindful of where you're walking them, try to avoid letting them to sniff, or worse yet eat, feces left by other dogs, especially in public places; if you do 'puppy play dates', do so only with people for whom you have a full name, address and contact number, and discuss in advance an agreement that each will immediately contact the others should their pup or any of their other dogs exhibit signs of illness, since that will allow everyone to be pro-active in seeking treatment as early as possible should exposure to the virus occur; don't let your pup eat crap they find lying around [anywhere, not just public places].  Of course it's not really possible to put these precations into effect 100% of the time, unless you place the puppy in a specially-constructed facility that will prevent exposure to anything, and that's neither practical NOR healthy for the pup--they NEED to be exposed to things in their puppyhood, as their immune system is developing and maturing, after all, and they need exposure to plain old life, too. But being mindful of the risk, and erring on the side of safety if you're unsure whether to have the pup checked by your vet or not when you suspect he or she seems a bit 'off' to you, will both serve you well in keeping your pup as protected as possible from exposure to this and other diseases.

Well what caught my attention for this topic was named "-" clearly Portuguese, and actually already realized he although not Portuguese is Brazilian...

He did not know the case, but unfortunately it is not unusual something like this happen here ... the Portuguese mentality (Portugal and Brazil) is still very third world when it comes to animals... I am called crazy for many people to let my dogs live with me in the house and go to the vet when I'm worried about something in them ... I only know one breeder who does not let visitors enter the maternity without disinfect clothes and shoes first... Work in a animals suply store and many people come to ask me "oh my puppy is doing poop with blood, what can I give him? And I ask, "Have you taken him to the vet? Does he have the vaccines?" Answer? "I did not know that it was necessary", "vaccinations? no, I did not know you had to give." "Vet? No way, they are very expensive and only think about selling!"...

It is by no means justification for this "Mr." is doing, but not surprised, just let me really sad...

good luck to everyone and I would run as far away from him as possible...
