WR, there is a possibility of feeding too much egg white to tiny pups, due to avidin. It binds biotin, I believe, preventing it from being absorbed. Of course, this is amount dependent and age dependent. And, if you feed the whole yolk, you just about eliminate that potential problem anyway. I feed whole eggs or no eggs at all, but that's just me. Basically, the "no egg white for pups" is one of those things that's a bit over-stated in its importance.

Was going to make the same point as Jenni, so never mind. I don't feed raw eggs on the daily, but when mine get them, they get the whole thing, shell included. I do wash the eggs before I feed them, however, just to remove any residual chicken poo that might be lingering there [I get my eggs right from the source, and don't wash them until I'm ready to use them, as they stay fresher that way] that isn't visible to the naked eye.  Of course, if a chicken or two decide to make a stealth nest somewhere in the barn or the hayfield instead of laying in the hen house, then the dogs get the eggs au naturel after they're finished rolling them along the ground and in their mouths.

I feed the whole egg shell included, puppies, I start them on eggs around 7 weeks mix a couple in with their food. Never had a problem maybe because it is a small amount for the whole litter

Thanks for the information I have been lucky so far so will keep the amount small that I feed them.

Any signs to watch for if they get to much

Generally you'll notice a deterioration in the condition of coat and skin; if severe enough, it can lead to weakness and even paralysis of the limbs [but that would take a lot of raw eggs for even a GSD pup to get there].   I don't feed eggs every day because the dogs sleep on my bed, and I can do without the egg farts in the night. Sick
