I am still doing research on my dog's pedigree. How do I find out what her bloodlines are? (DDR, West German, Czech)

Her dam's parents are Angsbacken's Rosso (Kimbo von Karthago x Satoris Yolly) and Alma Modra Strela (Vito Ja-He x Kora Eqidius).

Her sire's parents are Arko vom Glockenhaus (Alex von Deutschland Direkt x Amber von Haus Haley) and Paxi von Smokyberg (Jaguar von der Mausespitz x Brilla in Regnum Marianum).

Also, do you think that she comes from good lines? The people at my Schutzhund club said that she was a wonderful puppy, commenting on how she was fearless in the new environment when she came up to greet them all individually and confidently.

Until someone tells you the answers why not look up each of the different kennels and see where they are located Might give you a clue and can have some fun as well

During one of my searches, I found a website that said if you look back far enough in the pedigrees, you'll actually see DDR for East, SZ for West, CKSP for Czech, and SKSP for Slovakian dogs. It looks like my dog is a mix of West and Czechoslovakian lines. It also looks like the sire comes from show lines and the dam from working lines.

Your pup comes from all working lines, both sire and dam, West German/Belgian, DDR, Czechoslovakian (usually referred to as 'Czech'). SKSP is an older initial for the Slovakian registry.
SZ is the initial for the German GSD club SV since 1899. The DDR (socialist East Germany) existed from 1949 to 1989, and it's during that time period that East German dogs were registered in a separate DDR registry. The breeding goals in the two German states differed somewhat. In West Germany a show line was developed next to the more traditional dogs now called working line. This wasn't the case in the DDR. The DDR club set higher breed standards for eliminating hip dysplasia than the SV once HD ratings were available and used.
Enjoy your journey into the history of GSDs!

Don't want to cause a problem but the Dam's side is working lines and the Sires side is German Showlines and some nice ones

Sorry, you are right. I read (Angsbacken's Rosso (Kimbo von Karthago x Satoris Yolly) and Alma Modra Strela (Vito Ja-He x Kora Eqidius)) as her parents. I didn't see it was the dam's parents only. Yup, sire is all WGSL. I shouldn't post early in the morning ;)
Not causing a problem, Western Rider :) Always good to catch an error, thanks!

Not a problen you made me get another cup of tea to open my eyes. It's early for me too. LOL   I don't get my feathers ruffled if I am wrong.  Sometimes that's how you learn.  One must have an open mind and strong nerves and take it in stride that they are not perfect

I read that you said she comes from nice lines? That's good. I have to admit, I was a little nervous about purchasing a dog without doing a lot of research.

Back when I bought her, I was just happy knowing that I had a pedigree dog. THEN, I decided to delve deeper into learning about the breed.

I know a lot more since then, but I still don't know much, and I'm willing to learn more.

Thanks for all the help.
