This is beginning to sound very strrange -  OP, are you sure you were

speaking to the same guy as you had before ?  Could you possibly have

dialled the wrong number and got some nut of an unconnected party ?

I bought a pup from terry and the pup was exactly what he said she would be...she arrived clean, healthy, super confident, fearless, loved the rag, and adored my kids. He is a very nice guy who i have kept in touch with and I will go back to him if in the market for another.

Hard to believe these negative comments!
I've been knowing Terry for over a year now and
My experience with Him has always been a success.

1- I was in need of a stud dog for my DDR female and after we came to an agreement, Terry agreed to provide that service for me. ( as he said he don't normally stud his dogs out) I drove out to Houston from Louisiana to meet Terry and bred our dogs successfully. He was very informative and knows his business.
2- After my Female had her litter Terry offered to help sell the last puppy that I had and drove to Lake Charles to me halfway to pick up pup from me. Terry is a good guy and Has always been trustworthy.

Seems as though several individuals have had success dealing with him. Yet again today I received ten blocked hang up calls and shortly after the last hang up call, he began texting profanities. I did not respond today and he stopped texting after about three texts. Someone asked if I had the right individual. Yes,,, Terry Hatten (Oelmansdorf). Feel free to contact me and I can provide anyone with copies of the ridiculous texts that he has been sending.

Red Sable - You are correct about Nate Harves. Spoke with him in the past and he was very professional. I simply didn't want to have a pet shipped. I have read that it can be traumatic for some puppies. However, I am now awaiting a pregnancy confirmation from a good breeder that I purchased a puppy from last year. If not, I will seriously consider planning a family trip to Sportwaffen.Teeth Smile

two sides to every story. im sure you're not as innocent as you are making the story sound. no one explodes just because of a question about a price raise. if a breeder raises a price i'm sure they've had to answer questions about it multiple times before.

btw shipping is only traumatic to the crappy nervy dogs

I would like to see the texts but I would also like to see all your replies. Matter of fact PM all texts between you 2.

I haven't dealt with Oelmansdorf with regard to making a purchase, and that's because it's only recently that they've started to OFA certify hips & elbows on their breeding stock--and I stated as much on here years back, before they began doing so. This led to me receiving a couple of emails from them, basically ranting that I was an idiot and that I'd better watch out, and some vague threat of legal action if I wasn't careful...all of which I blew off, because I had [and have] no fear of them and no reason to do so. For anyone who doubts that it's only been in recent years that they've been OFA-certifying hips & elbows on their home-bred breeding stock, you can easily check the OFA website, and you'll find a total of 3 dogs with their kennel name listed in the database--and none of them are the dam of their litter born February 28, 2015, Oelmansdorf Niky. Maybe they a-stamped her, but it's of no concern to me. If someone is willing to pay $1500.00 for a puppy out of a dam whose hips may or may not be certified as sound, that's up to them--it's not a breeder I'd recommend, but then again I've learned not to recommend any breeder whose dogs I'm not personally familiar with and whose ethics I'm not personally familiar with, either.

So yeah, I can believe what Willhaus may be getting calls and texts or emails after they questioned the kennel owner about a price that had previously been quoted--but I also think if Willhaus just ignores them, they'll tire of the game and go away.

Edited to add:  This thread is an example, and in fact, may even be a follow-up to the one which earned me the Wrath of Oelmansdorf emails, though I don't feel like searching the forums any further to find the original thread.

Edit #2-- Well, I tried to resist my OCD, but it's just too strong...Yes, the link above this edit IS for a thread that was a follow-up to the original one, and here's the original thread that drew the breeder out onto the board just in time for a little holiday advertising. So again, yeah, what Willhaus is experiencing wouldn't be out of character. <shrugs again>

I also had pleasant encounters concerning dog business with Terry.  He was ALWAYS polite and willing to help and went above and beyond to help find an answer.

The OP said it all started because there was a difference in a price quoted from 6 months earlier.  It is not uncommon for breeders to change prices of their puppies. Had a deal been done and a deposit sent, I believe that would be a good reason to be upset. If the OP doesnt like the price change, just say "Thank you and have a nice day," and keep looking.  Terry has NO PROBLEMS selling puppies so for him to continue this way is confusing.

From what I know of Terry, he is not the type of person that has that much time during the day to spend on the phone making blocked calls or texting vulgar messages.  I think there are 2 sides to every story and without hearing both sides we will never know the truth.  I doubt seriously Terry will even make the time to respond on this. As of right now, all we know is a one sided story.
