Diane, As stated, the rules say 65-65.5 = kkl2, but many are written in as 65 and receive kkl1. Best Wishes, Jonah

Thanks, Jonah. I know of dogs that are easily 66cm and still receive a Kkl-1, so I thought perhaps I misunderstood something. Those dogs SHOULD be Kkl-2 if the rules are followed, right? I guess there's a lot of "creative stacking" (or creative measuring) going on. Diane

The judge uses a measuring stick with a bar that rests on the withers. There is no guessing. The judge makes a decision depending on the overall assessment of the dog. Bear in mind that a show dog w/kkl2 does not book breedings. Best Wishes,Jonah
