I had Vom Heidelberger Schloss import an awesome male for me about a year and a half ago. Went very smoothly. Top dog also! I also just got a new pup from the Salztalblick Kennel in Germany. What a beautiful pup. She has awesome structure, and tremendous drive. The experience was great. I dealt with Mr Mueller in the begining and then with Kay from GK Airlines. She arranged all the shipping, translating, and even helped with the $$$ because my bank is sh*&%y and could not figure out how to wire the money so I just paid the shipping company directly for the dog and the shipping. What a relief!

We have been fortunate and have had great experiences with all we've dealt with.
Vom Blitzenfel brought the female and the three puppies to our house to meet and decide which one we wanted. This was close to a 3-hour drive. The one we picked is a wonderful dog, so wonderful we ended up getting more. We've kept in close contact ever since.
HiddenHaus is close by so we spent many hours picking which exact puppy my husband wanted. We were so happy with them we have since bought another puppy and a mature dog also. And we see them often.
Zwinger Boneshaker was our first experience with importing. I think we were a first for them also! I believe they went above and beyond what many would have done to make sure we got our Boa. She is everything we could hope for in a working dog, and a sweetheart to top it off. We now consider them friends with frequent emails. We have to watch Boa's siblings you know!
Arditi was helpful and kept us informed through the whole process. He answered quickly all the questions we had. He is even following up on our paperwork to make sure it comes through okay.
I wish everybody could have as good of experiences as we have had.

One thing I think many people forget is that they should seek MULTIPLE input on a given breeder. All too often a person has ulterior motives in posting and/or recommending someone. This can, of course, work in the opposite manner as well.
What one often finds if they look is that yes, they are referred to someone who will give a positive, but in actuality, there are many others who have had negative experiences.
It is worth doing ones' homework and that involves more than a single recommendation.

I've had great experiences with Suzanne Eviston of von Grunheide kennels in Snohomish,
Anne Kent of von Adler Stein in LA
and Deb Dilley of vom Aegis in Montana

Cindy Graffam of Gieske Working Dogs...very good, honest breeder with great dogs. Maybe my only complaint is she gave me a better dog than I deserve. ;-)

I just wanted to inform Shawn that Kay from Gradlyn Kennels is a man, not a woman. But everybody that's with Gradlyn is super, they help all they can. Bea

bea,
Thanks for the heads up. Well HE, really helped out and made all the difference in the world. I will definately use them (Gradlyn) again and would recommend them to anyone. It was very easy and the cost was the same as another breeder was charging for the shipping and the trip to the airport...maybe even a little less.

Looking for "multiple input" on 2 breeders I'm interested in doing business with in Florida...
They are Jodie Winheim of vom haus Winheim and
Sen Chouza of von Alegriahof...
Both have some gorgeous dogs and so far seem very nice, I'd appreciate anything most of you have to say about them be it good, bad or ugly...
Lets keep it private please: mrarebe@netscape.net
Thanks,
Rob

I am 100% in agreement with Hodie on this one. You need to look at the good (what little, if any there is) and the BAD (which there is PLENTY OF) ....
This particular breeder has done more bad than good for the GSD world. (In many ways)
