I certainly didn't call names. Joan, you seem upset about something, I said? Or, you didn't know how to answer the question?

There is a lot of good in this law whether parts of it stink or not.

If we were to set aside ideology and political ramifications for a moment to deal strictly with the substance and effects of the bill, the concerns aren't necessarily ones which may be compartmentalized.  IMO, the greatest concern is the effect on everyone's care in the long view, and it appears as though those are already beginning to manifest.

Did I say you did? Upset? What abuse? You mean your question, 'are you signed up?' why, are you writing a book? Bite me.

Waaaaaawaaaaaaaaawaaaaaaaa....RICKYYYYY........Bm!

by beetree on 12 November 2013 - 14:11

You singing Baba-LOONEY tunes? Take a chill pill Joan, go see a doctor!

The question was did you or any one for that matter sign up yet? Or know any one who did? I do know a different person, and they have reported a savings compared to the standard COBRA type guarantee that usually ends up in payments that are very expensive.

Yes ma'am! Right away, ma'am! What doctor do you want me to go see and what time and day and shall I make the appointment for?

I'm waiting for your orders.

by joanro on 12 November 2013 - 15:11

BTW, you changed the question. Answer it yourself, you seem to be in charge here, you and your side kick.

by beetree on 12 November 2013 - 15:11

Whatever, Joan. My thread, I can go where I want to go I guess.

I am covered through my husbands work, so it does not apply to me. Now, your turn. I have paid COBRA prices in the past, I know how expensive that is. Does that help you answer the question for yourself? I guess you haven't applied online if eligible, or you would be talking about it. You are self-employed, so maybe you are happy with your coverage and won't bother? Those would be my guesses. Not that I really care, it is more a point to get the conversation back on track.

Comparing to Cobra, Obamacare is a better alternative.  My biggest complaint with Obamacare is not necessarily the policy itself, but how companies will start using that to their advantage; the policy is only half way done and with holes.

I just came from the eye doctor in preparation for cataract surgery, I got to see the bill.
They were just doing the same thing in the third world for pennies on the hundred dollar.

This Obamacare benefits only the insurance industry and does nothing about better cheaper health care.
Health care will only cost more and quality will only get worst.
Then there is the force, play or pay......they'll hold peoples tax returns back to cover penalties.

Sham, price gouging, rip off, special interests, socialism, all these things spell bad news for Americans now and in the future.

And the hits just keep on coming.
