I am surprised you would place a "warning" flag on my beautiful "L" Litter Female as there is no cause or warrant. You did not contact me personally and all information in her pedigree is accurate and correct.

You do realize that unless the breeder registers each puppy individually, that the new puppy owner can register it under whatever name they choose. If you only do a litter registration with AKC, that will not stop the new owner from changing the dogs name.
Maybe that is what you did, I can't tell from your wording.
CMills,
yes that's what I got out of it also. The breeder sold pup & sent it home with the AKC APPLICATION, not an actual registration/owner transfer form.
There is no way to make the new puppy owner use a specific name, unless you register the pup before sending it to the new home.
AKC rules even state that the breeder can not demand the pup be named a specific name, once in possession of new owners.

This kind of name changing is confusing and not helpful.

I am the original Litter Owner. and yes, First Owner. I sold this lovely female to Chip, who became Lea von Sonnenberg Hof's second Owner. No record is given (at this point) to Lea's "final owner" Reply to: by CMills on 15 January 2014 - 17:58 |
The litter owner would, essentially, be her first owner, she had her from birth to 8 wks. Then apparently she was sold with her AKC registration application to Chip, who would in essence be her second and final owner. |

When I sold her, I issued a SALES CONTRACT which is Signed, this Sales Contract is detailed and stipulates many things, including this specific female dogs AKC Registered Name, WHICH, by the way, she is from my "L" Litter, and I gave the Buyer the right to CHOOSE a First NAME which begins with the letter "L" and Chip chose LEA. Our Sales Contract is Legal and Binding. Agreed Upon. ************* Dear CMills, I sold this female pup in 1997 with a Sales Contract, signed by the buyer, Chip Helmer. The Buyer, Chip Helmer, chose her first name, LEA, and AGREED to my Kennel Surname, Von Sonnenberg. Lea von Sonnenberg Hof WAS WRITTEN onto her original AKC Registration Transfer Application at the time that Chip Helmer was here in my home and all papers were signed! ANY CHANGES are forged. |
