Odin looks very like a first cross GSD/Great Dane bitch a friend
of mine used to have a few years ago; so here is another vote
for that combination.
She was a super-nice dog, btw; I hope you are as fortunate with
him.

@Mirasmom: You right. They informed me that the previous owner had bought Odin when he was 5 weeks old from an add on craigslist advertising him as GSD mix. The previous owner gave him up b/c he would leave him in the house all day and Odin would scratch the front door until his nails would bleed and he would also bite down on all the metal door knobs in the house.
Anyways, I just wanted to get a better understanding of him and thought if I knew of the breeds that make him up I could.
He is extremely nice to people I let inside my house. He can be aloof to strangers and he loves my niece and nephews (who range in age from 3-8). He still needs a lot of work and I'm in the process of looking for a trainer. Thanks for the input everyone. I still do not what my mutt is but he's cute as hell.

The dogs below are GSD/APBT. They are belly bro and sis. The male is on top. I say your dog is a GSD/Dane cross.

this is his belly sister
