OH OK; it's probably the bitch I wanted. right?? God I hope my boys hips are OK, and I was not aware the dogs have to be sedated for SV x-rays. What do they mean by sedated? With what? and how would they know if dogs were or were not sedated except if there is a struggle.?? S_ _ _ . I am going to put my boy under anthesia for that. Not going to happen and I know dogs that have died on the table under general anthesia so there you have it. Thx for sharing x-ray and info. Nan
PS: I also know dogs that have died from sedation.

Good hips! And being a vet tech for so many years, I know how awful it can be to try to flip over a dog and keep it still enough to get a good shot. Despite it being crooked, at least they aren't blurry. I'd say good to excellent hips! And Nans I don't know about SV either, I'd like to know if they have to be fully sedated or a mild sedative. I know that there are some issues, especially with different sedatives, with losing a dog. I'm really iffy about it as well. I have a dog that will be 2 in April who I am going to get certified (OFA prelims were good), and a pup who I plan on certifying through SV or OFA as well.

Nan, I don't remember...we've talked a few times. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=628443-aria-vom-eisenherz
The hips are great; I'm very pleased. 2 fantastic sets of hip and elbow xrays in 2 days...great week!
While the film isn't straight and pretty to look at, it's not really as bad as it seems at first glance. The key thing so many times is knees, and her knees are properly rotated, which is often more important. I've seen positioning appear better when in fact it's less diagnostic b/c of lack of knee rotation, legs aren't pulled down enough, etc. This film appears "worse" but is more correct than many posted here. I saw the image on the computer and said "good enough- we're done." Not breathing isn't something I like to dawdle with...............
OFA should have no problem with them.

I don't know much about hips or anything, but they look really good to me. Happy for you Jen! Aria is gorgeous. <3

I would only recognize her puppy pictures. But if this is her she's gorgeous. Good luck Nan

She looked the same as a puppy, lol. Just a little shorter. I think you were interested in Cylas, Nan. I don't remember you wanting a girl...but my memory is slipping. Here she is, a few weeks, 3 months, 5.5months. Was it her?

Yeah I think it was Cylas, this girl is gorgeous though, glad I did not see her then. Good luck with her hip eval and congratulations on both. Nan
