After re-reading the OP, I over looked the fact that this puppy was GV for ISSR Shiloh Shepherds. I am not at all familiar with that club or organization. Maybe it is common that puppies and Adults be judged on the same criteria. My apologies for that. However I do still feel the same. But whatever works for each individual.

No need to apologize, Hutchins. I understand your reasoning. And this WAS the first time in the 39 years of the Shiloh Shepherd Homecoming specialty that a pup was chosen as GV.
Then entries WERE really low, which probably was a factor, too.
