Thank you so much everyone. I think it usually helps to know that others understand and can empathize. It's also helpful to know someone else has gone through a similar experience and survived it.

So sorry to hear of your loss, it's never easy to loose 1, but having to go through it twice in such a short time makes it very painful. I'm sure you will never forget them, but get another ASAP it does help to take the pain away. regards Bill Owen.

Why do bad things always happen to the BEST people????? Its hard enough losing one fur friend, but to lose 2 in such a short time span is unthinkable. Please let Abby know I am thinking of her. She is always there for everyone when they have problems- please let her know I am sending my support and love. Its never easy dealing with the loss of a well loved fur friend. A double whammy is frightening to even contemplate :(

Two together is just too much to understand. Abby, I am so very sorry. I really don't know what to say except that time does help to heal the wounds. And of course knowing that you did everything for your special boy that you could possibly do, just know that their time is always too short and that you loved them unconditionally as they did you. May you find comfort and peace for yourself. Nan

I am deeply sorry for your pain Abbynormal although we don't always agree, i can relate to the feelings you have to bear at this sad painful and devastating time.
I hope you do not leave it too long for a puppy to lick your heart soul and face again.

I just lost my girl in June so I can only partly understand your pain. I have tried but just can't imagine losing two so close together! My heart breaks for both you and Spooks! Glad you can be there for her, Spooks

How sad! We lost two elderly dogs 3 days apart from each other two years ago. One died of an unexpected heart attack then just three days later the other had to be put to sleep due to hemangiosarcoma in her liver and pancreas. It was awful. Abby, you have my deepest sympathy!
