I used the liquid when Xara came into heat the day after I brought her home, 4 month cycler I found out. We "fixed" that problem as soon as vet said it was safe.ANYWAY, I have 2 intact males in the home and I think it really helped. I still kept several closed doors and kid gate barricades between them, but only one evening did my young male cry at one on the doors. Even when she'd go to their side of the fenced back yard and "flag" them, they really didn't seem very interested. But neither of them have or will ever be bred and I don't know if that makes a difference. Read about it on a Great Dane forum. Had the caution that if you plan to breed said female, don't give. Fed 1-2 Tablespoons in food twice a day. Made nice bright green poop!!LOL. CH

Has anyone heard that Tums fed to an in season bitch will eliminate any odors that are attractive to males? I can't recall where I read that or the dosage.
I never had any luck with chlorophyll tabs or anything else when my bitches were in season. The best I could do was to keep the bitches inside but most of my males still howled, moaned and groaned for several weeks. Luckily I lived in an agricultural area in the middle of 5 acres surrounded by a dairy farm. The dog noises blended in with those from the cattle LOL.
