Abby Normal

by Abby Normal on 17 May 2013 - 07:05

A friend of mine has a Belgian of 15 who had a vestibular incident about a year ago. She has recovered well and all she has now is a mild head tilt. She was quite severely affected initially, but with supportive care has come through it and is still going, she was preparing to lose her. I am trying to remember how long it took her to recover, I think it was a month or two for it to really resolve properly and for her to feel that she was completely out of the woods. So don't give up hope, if this is what Jewel has experienced she has a very good chance..

Did you read the news story about the woman who was charged with child abuse because her kid got shot and instead of taking him right to a hospital she researched treatment on line?  This is a true story.

And rather than getting your dog expert help, you are researching on line.  Some would consider that abusive.  Especially for a such serious conditions like a stroke.

But, my guess is she has severe pain--enough to cry out and not move.  But that's all it is. a guess.

Get thee to a vet.  You should have brought her a long time ago, when you first saw symptoms.
The people on this email list can't see her, examine her,  or help her.

Spend the money and GO TO A VETERINARIAN AND GET HER TREATED, PRONTO!!!!  Or have him put her to sleep if you don't want to spend the bucks.  It ain't right to let her suffer while you chit chat.

Cathy D, Jewel is not my dog. If you were to read any of the previous threads on her you would know this... or read a little harder on this one where I call her "MY MOMS GOLDEN". You can be damn sure if she were mine she would have already gone, but I have no control over that. She is not my dog. Every time something happens it takes a lot of nagging to get them to take her in, which I am happy to provide, however I need facts to back it up, that is why I come here. People here are more experienced and can give me ideas on what to research and what to pass on to help my case. Take that abuse crap elsewhere, that is simply out of line.

I've gotten through to them before and I plan to again.

Thank you to everyone else, I will pass on the info, and let you know what happens.

Dawulf take no notice of cathy d, we know you, and Jewels history and what you have done for her.  Let us know what happens, and we are all keeping fingers crossed for the lovely old lady.

Cathy d, your comment is ****ing moronic.

I won't even bother going point by point and showing how ignorant you are. Dawulf was far too kind to you. Sit down, read a few things before you start pointing fingers. You look like a real idiot.

Short on patience for ignorance today...in case no one could tell.

I know many, me included,  who have gone to doctors, were misdiagnosed, mistreated and fixed themselves on line.

Just sayin'
