Brittany

by Brittany on 03 January 2007 - 06:01

hodie, You're right... most 18 month olds are capable of being bred... When their in heat that is. It still does not make them breedable, we both agree with this :) I looked back on zmeli's previous post and I can see that she does not know what shes doing, quite obviously. She buys a dog from somebody that offered her a great deal ($2500 for a SchH2 at the age of 7 years old) She was mainly looking for a pet/protection at the time and now shes off breeding this dog to an untitled and unOFA'd hips/elbows including an underaged bitch. ugh! If Only if Bill gates invented the TV web monitor...I would love to point my index finger straight up and move it from the right to the left.

Just remember, Miss Brit (and others), that everyone must start somewhere, and often, (and in my case, and many other people's) you do not start out knowing everything or doing things exactly the correct way. Each person that makes such a post of whatever runs through their head, without thinking of how the recipient will feel (I've been guilty of this myself, on more than one occasion!), needs to think back to when THEY were starting, and respond as they would have wanted to be responded to. Everyone makes mistakes. Nobody is perfect. At least she is willing to learn from her mistakes. She is a novice. There are breeders who have been breeding for years, who will purposely misrepresent what their dogs do and do not have, merely to make a buck. Cut her a break and give her some good advice, rather than beating her down. You'll get a lot farther with honey than with vinegar anyway. Just my opinion....

VomFelsenHof, everybody does start out somewhere, however it would be a responsible thing to do to get yourself fully educated before bringing life into this world. On Zambi's last heat cycle... I could of easily bred her to a Universal sieger male that has excellent protection work (At the 2005 WDA North American National Champion he recieved High protection with 97), but I didn't because I know that I'm not ready to be breeding quite yet. I admit that I do not know everything that their is to need to become a breeder. I also will be on the strict side as of who will be getting my future puppies. I will be honest and will NEVER enchance any photos that I take of my dogs in the future. Yes! Everybody makes mistakes but when you go off and start breeding without knowing what you're doing... your mistake becomes a deadly and heartbreaking. often Dogs who get sent to the pound often gets PTS because nobody wants them due to mass breeding that takes place in this country. Making mistakes is fine but don't make a mistake that will cause misery torwards another living things. By the way... It's alot easier to get vinegar than with Honey... at least with vinegar... you wait until the apple ages.. then the process begins.. with Honey... you have to battle with a few thousand angry bees and hoping not get sting to death :)

Accidents are accidents they happen, But his is no accident, This is pure and simple Irresponsibility. And beyond that it's intentional irresponsibility, that makes anyone who "Truly" cares for this breed look like ASSES !!! Zmeli in my opinon does not care about the GSD breed, I agree with Britany and hodie here.

... doesn't anyone here know the "I'm an idiot" song? ..everytime I read this thread I can't get it out of my mind. LOL

by Blitzen on 03 January 2007 - 16:01

Uh, this is not Zmeli's first rodeo. Read her other posts. It looks like she's been around long enough to know the basics like - no GSD should be bred without a hip xray.

Blitzen, you nailed it. Zmeli's been around a while and been breeding since at least 2004 based on her posts. And previously talking about breeding an untitled, not OFA'd 18-month male before she sells it.

by zmeli on 04 January 2007 - 19:01

you guys think you are so smart and know so much about me. First of all, I've only had 3 litters in my life, second my 18 month old male would have been ofa and titled if I were to keep him. Not good to open your mouth and claim to know someone when you don't. Yeah, I've been around a while, been spun around in circles by breeders that is. Both of my German imports I basically rescued from breeders because they treat them so bad. You guys make me laugh, your blood pressure must be high!!!

by zmeli on 05 January 2007 - 01:01

vom felsenhof, e-mail sent. thank you

by hodie on 05 January 2007 - 01:01

Von Felsenhof, Based on the mess you are already in with this other nut case, I would advise staying away here too. This is an accident waiting to happen.
