i've been in touch with her on & off for 10 or 12 yrs. never bought a dog from her, but sure wouldn't be afraid to.
she very kindly offered suggestions on a male that i still own & i have always more or less considered her a go-to
person. the dogs that she started out with were fairly similar to the ones we had 30+ yrs ago. so we have some
common ground there----on the same page at least ;) i can't say enough good about her, her dogs, the way she
trains. i would consider her an excellent person to buy from if you are fairly new to gsds, sport, or real work. she
is the kind who will do her best to match you with the right dog & give plenty of support after the sale.
pjp
****ps. some of her dogs are very "real." meaning they aren't coming out onto the field to play. quite serious.
be sure to be up front with her on your level of experience & what you intend to use the dog for. :)

Totally agree with Hexew, Ziegenfarm and Blackthorn. VERY knowledgeable, honest and experienced. Many excellent breeders have a repossession clause in order to rescue puppies sold into what ultimately became unsafe situations for them. A breeder can screen puppy-buyers, but they are not clairvoyant or infallible, so they must have some mechanism to safeguard the health and well-being of their puppies.

Thanks again everyone. It's really great to hear. As you know, it can sometimes be such a difficult decision to go with the "right" breeder. I know there are so many out there, it's just so tough to choose!

I've never met Anne but she has helped me "online" with my dogs. I like her because she is blunt and honest but sends me very good responses. It's not like she has to help, I don't have one of her dogs and I don't train with her, but she always helps. As far as I know she has a stellar reputation. If I had an issue with the contract I'd ask her about it. I'm pretty sure I've seen on her Facebook that she's taken back a dog she's bred (when the owner could not keep) or help find a new home. I'm guessing that is what the clause is for, to protect the dog.

I'm going to put that in my puppy contract,

I have also taken back dogs that the owners can no longer care for due to a divorce situation or just about any reason and re-homed them.
I believe all breeders should be accountable for what they have produced in regards to puppies, then maybe there wouldn't
be any GSD's in shelters.
I do not know this lady and her dogs, but I can see the people that do like her and respect her very much, if I were you
I wouldn't hesitate to get a pup from her, nice to see someone who genuinely cares for the breed
Just let her know what your plans will be for the puppy so she can match you up to a pup with the right amount of drive.
("Buyer acknowledges the Seller’s right to execute their right to repossess the animal that this contract
pertains to.")
as it doesn't hurt to let people know you are willing to go to great lengths to make sure your dogs are being cared for properly
