I had a puppy limping, she had the smallest hairline fracture of a toe.
The vet overlooked it, but as we were looking at the xray i saw it.
Another xray was taken and the fracture showed much better.

If your vet is the only one who saw the xrays, they need to be viewed by an orthopedic surgeoun. Many vets are not qualified to read xrays correctly.

Could be a vertical crack in his elbow called cracked humeral ends and they can only be seen by CIT scan. These type injuries are generally caused by a fall or a compression type injury ( heavy weight such as a car or a larger dog ) caused by a beat down type injury on the shoulders and elbows. I have a 4 year old male who took a beat down from a 140 pound Great Pyrenees at 4 months. Same symptoms as your dog. Both elbows can be cracked and only limping on the worst one or only one affected. The solution is stainless steel screws to pull the ends of the bones back together. $6000 later after a bunch of wrong diagnoses he is doing fine with screws in both elbows (the bone going from the elbow to the shoulder).
