Hundmutter

Troopscott I respect that you have only good intentions - but, like
Abby, I think you are wrong.  I think the pics at least are genuine.
(Whether everything else about the appeal is equally all right as
well, I have no way to be sure.)

1)  In the first photo, the light is sourced from the right of the
person holding the dog, and I can see no inconsistencies in the
shadows.  As Abby says in that early examination a) no one
would want to stretch the paw out and risk starting the wound
bleeding again while they were trying to look at it; b) the paw would
have looked different before the wound was debrided; c) the paw has
probably also become more swollen with the passage of time between
those two photos.  Taking the angle of the first photo + B + C into account
it is not in the least surprising the bone cannot be seen until the 2nd
picture  (I 'd bet the person holding the dog in Photo 1 could see it
fine, from their angle).
2)  It's definitely the same dog (mask curls under the eye in a distinctive
manner).
3)  Groggy bandaged dog has photo taken again, on couch before being
transferred to Recovery Room crate.  Perfectly plausible.

Anyone found out HOW that awful injury occurred ?  Traffic incident ?

If the wound had been debriefed then there would be blood etc on the pads around the area. They are not going to sedate the dog clean it lift the dog up to change the pads etc then out the dog down and everyone walk away. The nice thing is that we can all have opinions and it is each our own money to give or not. While I would for money for some this is one personally I would not. To many unknowns for me to give anything. If it is real I hope for the best.
