Ibrahim, I can second Margaret's vote on Red Mills, if that can
be obtained in Jordan; this food was recommended to my
mentor some years ago by another exhibitor, and she
tried it for a while with her dogs. It was perfectly acceptable.
I have not actually set eyes on Omega Tasty for some time,
none of the places where I shop regularly sell it; to be honest
I thought it had disappeared from the market !

Thanks Hundmutter, I sent e mail today to Red Mills in Ireland. I noticed that a dog need to eat big amount of food per day compared to other foods, what you say about that? Thanks
Ibrahim

I think that may have been the reason Ronnie stopped
using it. They did seem to get through it quicker than
the Skinners she normally used at that point, so it was
probably quite expensive in the end, with 8 or so to feed.
I do recall she didn't seem to have objections on quality.
Might not be noticeable so much for owners with only
1 or 2 dogs or better income ?

Hi Ibrahim
Don't forget the Redmills Racer is for a racing greyhound in training and using a lot of energy, a companion/showdog would need less. Might be worth asking the manufacturer for quantitiy for a resting greyhound, which would be more comparable. I've only ever used it for my own dogs as a mixer now and then with raw meat or for rescue dogs that needed to gain a bit of weight, never had any problems with it. I am trying one called Gusto for the rescues at the moment, made by Dodson and Horrell who also make the Chudleighs range, have to say they mostly eat it straight away and none have had upset tummies on it even though it is probably a complete change from their previous diet. Works out only 7.90 per 10k bag retail.

Believe Ronnie used a 'resting' amount of RedMills, it still
seemed to be more volume per portion & therefore to go
quicker than the other kibble.
BTW Skinners is another perfectly good but non 'premium'
food, I don't know whether they export it ? [Developed
originally for Labradors etc in the Field, with particular refer-
ence to bloat prevention I understand.] Lot of corn in it,
though.

Hi Ibrahim,
I am a member of another forum where this food has been spoken about recently, all who used the "Purina" range in general were unhappy with the general condition of their dogs.
If you were going to import as a distributor in bulk, there is several others to consider who I am sure would be happy to do business with you. Good luck.

Thank you Super Para, I appreciate the info really, I will see what Abby comes up with and I will consider all other options friends already provided and will provide, I'll be careful with the Purina, people here are not very familiar with Purina dog food here but they are not happy about their cat food, they prefer Royal Canin and one Italian brand which I can't remember the name at the moment.
Margaret,
I will look at Gusto too, by the way 2 of our local shelters benefit from the food I already import, they get it at net cost reaching the store, they now pay for food approximately half what they used to pay, I benefit from being able to import valuable quantities per year and getting reasonable prices from the manufacturer, the 2 shelters are making free of charge advertizing for me, lol.

Hundmutter, I will look at Skinners, though the name isn't appealing

Hi Ibrahim
Try this link to Dodson and Horrell who make it. I was surprised to see they make Autarky as well.
