As Jim posted last night. You need to hold people accountable.

The main thing that needs to be done, and other than you Bee, who actually was the first one to post about the possible connection of violent video games, I don't see any of the other anti-gunners the least bit concerned as to WHY people are committing Mass Murder.

This is just irresponsible that people are unconcerned about the causes.

Mass Murders will only get worse until they identify and do something about the causes IMO.

I don't have, nor have I ever had a gun at my business.

Ninja,

Yes, I  do believe it is an equation, it needs all the pieces to make the horror. And yes, I do think there is a connection with violent video games for SOME  children.  We need to fnd out which ones, and that I  agree, helps with the "why".

Thumbs Up

Curious, why don't you have a weapon for protection at your workplace?

Because there is no one reason why these people commit mass murder. Look the NRA brought out a shooter game for children as young as 4.

I will say this out of all these mass murders the one constant is guns, that is why more guns will solve the problem, just keep throwing more guns at the problem and it will all go away.

Again, there is no 1 or 2 simple reasons why people commit mass murders, it is way more complicated than a simple reason and it is not video games. A video game is not going to cause most people to commit mass murder and BTW, I don't play video games.

You can look back and see that the over riding majority of these murders had very little to do with any video game, that is simply a copout.

We just need more and bigger guns that will solve all the issues. Promise.

I've never had any problems at work that I believe would need a weapon present. I don't want to lug a loaded gun around there all day. I don't want the reponsibility of leaving one in my desk etc.

Most of our work is paid for by personal or insurance company checks, so there usually isn't a lot of cash around.

I've had a few bad actors here in my neighborhood, one I more or less helped eliminate, the other two I corrected verbally. But the first one I mentioned was actually beating a 17 yr old girl, I think he would have killed her had I not jumped in. Six months later he came after me, five seconds into that altercation and he was running for his life. Haven't seen him since, that was 20 years ago.

If there is no one reason (I agree) but then there is no one solution.

Remember Mass Murder is the problem, guns are just one tool used to pull them off.

If you don't identify and eliminate the reasons, they will just continue. Different tool, but they will find a way to pull it off.

But they aren't using different tools, that is also a copout.

Speaking of cops here is a video for you of an officer being shot with an assault weapon.

GSD,

The kids of today can change the tool in seconds. You can go online and find out how to build a pipe bomb, a propane bomp, a fertilizer bomb etc. in about two minutes.

My wife weighs about 110 lbs and wouldn't step on an ant. However she could get behind the wheel of her car and just floor it and drive into twenty or thirty kids getting off the school bus.

You can't stop it. You have to go after the root causes to attempt to eliminate it.

Ninja,

Those things aren't being used so we can't say with certainty that they would be used. Now guns/assault weapons are being used and that is what needs to be discussed not what ifs and maybes.

I for one don't want to take your guns but I think common sense says assault weapons are not a good idea. They can kill many way to quickly and easily, we can sit here and debate all the other ways to commit mass murder but those are all just a deflection from the assault weapons doing some of these mass murders.

I am out I am not even supposed to be in OT as my opinion is a conflict of interest and my freedom of speech is taken away as I am to stupid, ignorant and unamerican to debate with the patriots and intelligent members.

Peace out.

GSD,

Oklahoma, fertilizer bomb. It took most of the federal building down. Timothy McVeigh!

And the biggest school Mass Murder was with dynamite.

Please explain to me the big freaking deal over making it harder for a looney tune to get it's hands on an assault weapon or a high capacity magazine. Or, to that end, requiring that a private dealer at a gun show needs to do background checks before selling a gun. What  exactly is the concern?  Isn't it worth it to prevent even one more kid from being shot ?
