I agree with TingsTails I like to use a variety of raw, some ground some organ meats whole, some muscle meats with The HOnest Kitchen added in for the convenience of the vegi's already done for you, just add some meat.  The HOnest Kitchen I like most is Zeal but I add some ground meat as it is fish;  Preference you add your own meat as it has no meat, and Love is their beef formula with some potato.  Those are my favorites no grains in any of them.  BOL  Nan

I use blue buffalo longevity puppy with blue buffalo wilderness canned dog food mixed in, what do you guys think is that good for my puppy because i want to know what is good for him weve been through brands before with my other gsd who had a diet of beneful (which i thought was good for him) but he crapped so much more than Xander does now xanders on blue buffalo.

Ive heard good things about blue buffalo. But it's really also how your dog handles it. If he seems to have a nice coat and plenty of energy with stools that aren't mushy, you should be fine with that.

Canidae All Life Stages, some meals raw whatever I have, some Blue Ridge Beef Breeders Choice, natural mix and Green Tripe, sometimes I mix kibble and raw.  Taste of the Wild is a great food, as are orijen and the others mentioned above.

I'm a raw feeder so I haven't tried this kibble personally -

Several friends have started using the PetValu "store brand" Performatrin Ultra Grain Free (the protein sources are turkey meal - salmon meal - duck meal) and said that they are really happy with the results. I'm curious if anyone else has tried it.

We use Diamond kibble, and we also give raw eggs and salmon weekly. I never gave a second thought to Diamond, until a person that bred and owns a world champion beagle recommended it. My dogs do great on it.
