Yep those days were not that long ago LOL. Be patient with her, build her confidence in ALL situations. She will probably grow out of it.

We have a coming 2 yr. old female who is so super, loves everyone she meets, meets people with happy tail and is anxious to get a pet from anyone, great with other dogs, is coming along in bite work, Has nerves that are great. Loves her boy !!!! However... she sees me as the alpha and that is somewhat a problem as she will approach me with ears back, tail wags low, and pee, I have never hit this dog, never corrected her, never yelled at her, Love her she is so very sweet and absolutely gorgeous, I hope with some more age on her she will eventually stop, I think some dogs are just hardwired to submissive peeing. As none of our other females do this, with the exeption of one of our 4 month females who pees when excited or overstimulated, This pup is super high drive, oh my gosh she is NUTS, But when you get her wound up, she will pee not while sitting or squatting in submissive posture, just pees in motion cause she's so excitable. Drives me nuts, but I don't correct for it, and simply have to wait it out. I did have a friend of mine who did work with Rescue Wolf hybrids, She said the submissive pee hybrids they worked with by getting down on the floor and lowering they're head in comparison to the hybrid, even would roll over on they're backs and put face to nose of dog so that it seemed they were submitting to the dog, therefore building confidence and eventually she said many of them would stop the peeing. I have not yet tried this with this dog of ours as I don't beleive it's necessary but thought I would throw it out anyway, as I do see how it could build the confidence.
