I know Gizmo is here. He was at my house in July. Kevin took him over there to trial. Karla posted on the other board that he got 100 on his FH.

I believe it's Gismo. (don't quote me!) Yup, she's a Mandy puppy. She's giving everyone a run for their money. I thought you'd be interested in Gismo getting his FH. Good luck with you pup!

I have a young dog (8 mths) after Gringo vd Mohnweise, he was very similar to your puppy as a puppy. I did all the usual - distract with toy ect, which worked to some extent. He always favoured my arms though and I've never had a pup draw so much blood! He was (and is) very sociable but would not tolerate handling when not in the mood and would fight like mad. At about 12-15 weeks I decided that this was one fight I did not want when he is older as he is also handler hard. We then had a fight over being petted/handled, brushed, bathed and nails clipped, all on different days. I never got cross or told him of, I just showed him that I'm more persistent that him, when I want something that's what is going to happen no matter how long it takes... If I remember correctly, it took about 45 mins for him to give up on resisting handling (I got chewed to bits - glad it was puppy teeth) and the nail clipping was about 2 hours!!! But it was worth it - I can now handle him in any way I need to without a fight and it didn't kill any drive, he now prefers to bite me in the shoulder!!
