WOW. I could not be more proud of Rose or her pups. All have solid homes and only 2 are going to pure "pet" homes.

What I think deserves a prize is that she stuck around through the judgement and criticism. Lots of great info and help here if you keep your hard hat on. Most would have told the members here to pound sand but she kept coming back and putting aside the negative and taking away the positive.
I'm glad it all worked out. And although most here breed for work or sport it has to be remembered that as a purely companion breed the German shepherd also fits the bill. Most GSs bred, even registered ones, go to purely pet homes and there is nothing wrong with that. They are an amazing family guardian and companion and most people who are looking for a GS are looki g for exactly that. That you've placed all but two puppies in to working homes is commendable. Even many of the best or well known breeders probably place more puppies into pet homes than working homes.

Here are my proud stats:
1. Max (used to be Little Bear, Max fit better) - He is going to stay with me and be my experiment dog. We are going to venture into new areas and see what fits (maybe some SARs, maybe some agility, maybe some herding, whatever we find and works out). He throws his weight around when it suites him. He is the one that was the "first" for almost everything, first to climb out of the welping box, first to try mom's food, first to "come" to me consistently, first to climb stairs and venture into the great outdoors.
2. Athenia - She is the pride and joy of the pack. She passes the first level of service dog with flying colors. She will stay with me for training for 9 months to 1 year. Then, depending on the final outcome, will go to a perfect home. She takes nothing from anybody. She does "sit" on command now 85% of the time and, as of yesterday, did it without treats and only "good girl" praise. She was the first to engage mom in play time. She is super quiet and calm. I actually use her as a "stabilizer" for the other puppies during crate training. See my other post "my pride and joy."
3. Tiger Girl - She is my rough, tumbly, demanding, bossy, little BRAT. A K9 officer called me about her this week. We will see. I am not sure that she has enough drive. The officer will come in week 9 to evaluate. She will have have to go to a home that is willing to channel her high energy. I might tentively keep her. We will have to definitely find a way to channel her energy and drive. If anyone has a home suggestion for this type of dog (please read all of my other post to know the full back ground on this litter), please PM me.
4. Hania - He is the first pick to go for a therapy dog. He was the unexpected of the group. A friend of mine has a daughter with ADHD. They have been trying everything to control it, short of medication. 30 minutes into the play weekend, we found the child and Hania sitting quietly in the yard playing tug with a toy. This lasted for 15 minutes. For a child that has not been able to sit still, unless asleep, for most of its life, those 15 minutes were a blessing. We are going to monitor and see how this progresses.
5. Maxmus - He is the first to go as a pet home. He was my big, loveable, loud mouth. I think this will be a good fit.
6. Duckie Boy - He is going to a working ranch. He has his nose in everything. Every sound and movement has his immediate attention. He is the clown of group; always laughing and, much to his mother's dismay, always into everything. He will pull on mom's tail and as soon as she turns around he lets go, runs a few feet away and lays down with a look that says, "I am not doing anything."
7. Black & White Boy - He is going to a retired military man. He will be a good companion dog for the man. This is the Alpha, yet dependent pup of the group. He is always on top during wrestling and when he gets pissed, even I step back and think "in 3 months, I will not cross him." When he bonds, he will be a one owner dog. The world will revolve around his "human best friend."
8. Blue Boy - He is going to a home as a pet. He is the loveable snuggle bunny of the group; very laid back, very omega pup. He will be quite content watching TV or going for a walk. All he wants in life is for someone to hug him and feed him (yeah, quite the vision at full grown 90 lbs GSD wanting to snuggle with its owner).
