Hello Kougar- " I was not aware that an HGH did not need a BH either to enter a schutzhund trial...but for koer????? The koer requirements are always listed as above when I have seen them."
Here are the koer requirements listed as I stated on the USA Breed Survey Regulations page. Maybe you need to check out the sections and paragraphs below. Just because you are not aware that an HGH did not need a BH for a koer does not make it untrue.

USA Breed Survey Regulations
3.4. Performance Title
Dogs must have at least one performance title (SchH1-3, VPG1-3, IP1-3, or HGH) obtained under a USA-recognized performance judge, and a BH obtained under a WUSV-recognized judge. Dogs with an HGH title are not required to have a BH title.
3.5. Endurance Test
Dogs must have passed an endurance test (AD) under a USA-recognized judge; however, this requirement is waived for dogs with an HGH title and dogs that are six years and older.

I know of another dog who is dual titled with HGH and SchH3 titles - a VERY VERY accomplished dog. When talking about dogs in the USA, let's not forget the HGH & SchH3 titled dog, Abel vom Quasliner Moor HGH SchH3 kkl2 handled, owned and trained by Ms. Kristin Siarkowicz, bred by Mr. Ulf Kintzel. Abel vom Quasliner Moor also has the UD, HSCs, HICs, HXCs, AX, & MXJ (AKC) titles. It seems that you cannot pick up an issue of the AKC GSDCA's magazine, The German Shepherd Dog Review without seeing Abel vom Quasliner Moor and Ms. Kristin Siarkowicz accomplishing something in it.
There are many other dogs in the United States and Canada with HGH titles, and some with dual HGH & Schutzhund titles. Most of the dual titled dogs are imports. Look at all the great dual titled dogs from the Kirschental kennels that have been imported into the US & Canada.
The dogs that title for HGH in the USA at the First HGH Herding Club really are some of the hardest working dogs that can be found. Any dog who earns an HGH title should be given all the respect one would expect a dedicated hard working dog would receive from the working dog community.

Hmmm - I did not *SAY* it was untrue or that I did not believe it - I said I was not **aware** of it - nothing about that statement to be accusatory or defensive...since I do not have access to the training, I have not looked at the specifics that closely. I have the greatest respect for dogs who can get the HGH. Just not in a position to participate.
