Kulla shepherds

by VKGSDs on 30 May 2012 - 01:05
I have a dog from Bill Kulla, highly recommend. Bill and Jenn are easy to work with, honest, transparent, communicative, gave me a great match based on what I asked for, healthy dog (he is 21 months old, two-time SG in shows, a-stamp A1 hips and Normal elbows in Germany, and USCA and SV certified dentition). My dog is out of Boy and Hilde and he has great drives, genetically bites hard and full (he's only my second Schutzhund dog so of course I make mistakes in training and his protection work never suffers), nice quick, precise obedience, good tracking. He's slow to mature mentally and physically but overall a very nice dog. He's very stable, friendly, social. Safe with other people, dogs, and kids. If anything he's *too* friendly/safe for a GSD but since we're starting a family soon that's what I wanted. So far he's got a BH, AD, CGC, two SG ratings, and will be earning his first lure coursing, flyball, and dock diving titles soon. He's the fastest U-fli flyball German Shepherd in North America. Really fun dog!

Have had dogs from MyBodyguard (Marengo IL) Vom Haus Miller (Madison WI) as well as TrueHaus (California) and I live right downtown. As far as high drive working dogs, you can't go wrong with Vom Haus Miller, though they don't breed very often. My current pup from TrueHaus is also great; not as high of drive, but calms down well in the house and is very good at just being a "pet". I've also heard good things about Bill Kulla, Wildhaus (Michigan), CherCar (Michigan), and Sportwaffen (Indiana)
Basically I would say if you want a high drive working dog, check out Haus Miller, WildHaus, Bill Kulla, and SportWaffen. If you are looking for a breder that breeds for companionship and has a wide customer base that is just looking for a "pet", look into MyBodyguard (though they are expensive), CherCar, and Truehaus. Haus Miller and Bill Kulla I believe will find you the right dog regardless of the activity level you are looking for as well.
If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me.

I pretty much agree with everyone else. I've known Steve Miller for a number of years and have several of his dogs. Very high quality dogs, Euros Vom Haus Miller BH and Orri Vom Haus Miller.
I also have a female, Jetta Vom Geistwasser IPO1, from Bill Kulla. Nate Harves at Sportwaffen also has the kind of dogs I like.
I bred my Jet to V Terror Von Der Staatsmacht SchIII last month. I have spent several years researching who I should breed Jet to. Thank the good Lord Stefan Schaub of Staatsmacht kennels has moved here permanently from Germany to Minnesota. He is a gentleman, honest and speaks good English.
This is the pedigree of the breeding for Terror/Jet. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/para.utkoma?fadir=698624&modir=569507
