Ok sorry for the late follow up this morning beast was feeling better looked more hydrated. The vet suggested he stay another day so even tho i cant afford it i left him there ill do whatever it takes to save him. For lunch time i checked up on him and he seemed ill again, he hasnt still has no apetite i consulted another vet for a second opinion as soon as i pick him up i will take him tomorrow morning i will take him in to a different vet. we did xrays did the ivy, gave him atibiotic shots and did a test to see if there was blockage in his stomach everything came back negative. did blood work and nothing abnormal showed up. The vet is still thinking infection, i guess we have to wait to find out but tomorrow is the longest im willing to give it. Idk if paint chips would show up in a xray but nothing showed up but gas. its about 5 days now if it is bacteria i should pass by tomorrow, I really appreaciate your guys help.I will follow up asap

I understand you're distraught but I'm curious just what exactly it is you want us to do? Reach through your monitor and magically heal your puppy or donate our hard earned money to an owner who let their puppy eat paint chips?
It may sound cruel, and had I ever not supervised a puppy and allowed it to eat paint chips possibly containing lead, I'd be upset too, but again, I ask you, what is it you want us, as readers to do? Posters have suggested finding a different vet for other opinions, posters have suggested what they personally think might be wrong (though I doubt most of us here are actual veterinarians) but other than that, what is it we are supposed to do? I'm not very religious but I will "send healing thoughts" to your puppy, but other than that, I'm at a loss as to what it is you're actually expecting of people.
I hope for the PUPPY'S sake a veterinarian figures out just what is going on with the poor thing, and I hope on YOUR end a valuable lesson has been learned here; you mentioned in other threads you've had problems potty training this puppy due to lack of supervision and now the puppy has ingested god knows what, and is sick, I'm hoping this lesson has been learned, and praying that it didn't cost the puppy his/her life.

For two, YOU allowed your puppy to eat paint chips and I'm the retarded one? How cute.
Obviously I've ruffled your feathers, which wasn't really my intent, but as I have said before,
"Anyone who knows me knows that I will ALWAYS side with the dog"
This case is no exception. I honestly DO hope your puppy gets better, but immature comments such as, and I quote directly posted BY YOU:
"i already spent my rent money at the vet"
This very statement alone shows your priorities. Granted yes, rent must be paid but owning a dog/puppy means assuming the responcibility of that puppy's life, and if it had been a human child whom you had not had health insurance for, you wouldn't have even thought twice about "spending the rent money" at the doctor, would you?
Regardless of who YOU are, I do hope the puppy's vet finds a diagnosis and is able to treat the pup accordingly, but seriously, puppies eat things because their owners don't watch them. I've owned dogs most of my life and never once had an issue like this, because I used simple common sense; I crated the puppy/dog when I would go to the bathroom or run errands, Until I was positive my pup/dog was over the chew phase that pup/dog never left my sight, and frankly, if you knew your puppy had eaten paint chips potentially LEAD paint chips, instead of waiting a few days, I would've rushed my ass to the vet before the puppy went on a food hiatus.
My attempt was not to belittle you nor really upset you, I simply wanted to try to understand what it was you were asking of us, as readers to do.
Ehhh, I've said my final piece, I wish you a world of luck and really hope the vet(s) figure out what is ailing the puppy and are swift in fixing it. Good luck with your puppy, and have a good night.

Did the vet check specifically for lead poisoning?

I can only tell you that it is important to keep up the supportive therapy.. fluids to keep her flushed out and following the vet's instructions.
Accidents do happen... sometimes even when you are watching the little devils! I had a puppy pick up a cat toy and swallow it. Fortunately, it "passed."
And yes, I keep the cat toys picked up but one of the cats "found" this one in some place where it had been "lost" and dropped it right in front of the puppy. Like lightning, the puppy had it and swallowed as I was trying to pry her mouth open...
I am sure that you will watch your "Beast" puppy much closer after she is well. Puppies are babies and do not always make the right choices!
