Excessive Burping in 14 month old GSD - Page 2

I used to say "aww," every time my puppy burped; it was rather cute. However, he took it as encouragement. A full grown adult male cutting frat-boy worthy belches then looking around for approval was notably less cute. -- I, likewise have heard burpers don't bloat, but I don't know if there's any truth to that. I've known plenty of dogs where excess air they gathered came out the other end :-s

I have not heard burpers don't bloat, rather, I have heard that during a suspected episode of bloat, if the dog is able to burp, that is a good sign.

Thanks guys! I hope ya'll are right and it's not bad. I haven't changed the way that I feed her. I have however started to add in EVO with her Taste of the Wild, which she loves. Maybe that's caused the sudden burping? She used to burp occasionally growing up, but now it's 3 times a day minimum.

Jenni: Yea, I was wondering about the air thing. I don't know if she's sucking her food down too fast or what.

My mom's Golden is a big time burper. Always has been. She will be 12 years old in April ad can still cut one with the best of 'em, LOL!
