I currently have an almost 2 week old litter. The sire, Tango ot Vitosha is OFA Excellent and was co-bred by Ivan Balabanov and John "Mohawk" Wiitanen. He's by Falcon Regulus, SCH3, OFA Excellent and out of Wiitanen's Lola, OFA Good. The Dam to my litter, Paw's Ranch Kahlua V Wufpack, Hips X-rayed clear, is by Land of Oz's Ice Blue Demon, OFA Good Hips and Elbows, and out of Brandi Vom Chadran, Hips X-rayed clear, whom I used to own. Both of the parents are very high drive and the sire is currently training in Protection Sport and the Dam will be after this litter is weaned.
I expect these pups to be high drive and intense like their parents. You can see more about them on my website www.RoodHausBelgians.weebly.com We are located in North Florida.

Thank you, everyone, for your responses. I've emailed a couple of the breeders suggested here, so hopefully I can find my perfect puppy.

If you want a Mal for ring, get a dog from ring lines. The OV does are all SchH dogs. I've heard good things about Konnie... Juice is a nice dog.
We got our Mal pup from the west coast, but they're not having a litter any time soon. You want a Ring dog? Richie Bonilla just bred or is gonna breed his male, Vic... This dog is the 10, 11 NARA FRIII champ.., he's in FL at the Apache Ring Club
Also, Kadi Thingvall with Dantero is going to be having a litter soon also with Mac X Extra
I'd take pups from either of these litters, but of pressed... I'd go with Richies litter

RV22 - I agree that if I wanted a Malinois for Ring Sport, to get a Malinois from lines that do Ring Sport. However, I don't want a Malinois "for Ring Sport". I want a Malinois to be a companion, to do obedience, to take places, to involve in my everyday life. And yes, we'll do something constructive - obedience, Ring, SAR, whatever the dog turns out to be good at and enjoys. I want a rock-solid dog that has the drive to do well in a sport, but first and foremost, this dog is going to be a companion, not a competitor. If that makes sense.

I have just purchased a small horse farm in NE and appreciated your description of wanting a dog as more of a companion then sporting/ show dog. Like you, I grew up with german shepards but think the Belgium Malinois might be a better fit for what I want now. Any recommendations from your research last fall? Thanks

If your looking for a dog on the East Coast - I would also suggest Vom Roten Sturm. I really really like Caraq (the sire of their upcomming litter) not just because of his accomplishments in sports...but also his wonderful temperment. I happened to be at the 2009 Northeast Regional competition where Caraq and his owner/handler Hardy won the competition. After the trial I approached Hardy and his wife to congratulate them - I had never met them before but was told they were very nice. I had always admired Caraq from afar because of his working abilities. Hardy and his wife opened the crate door to permit me to meet Caraq and out jumped Caraq. Caraq had a wonderful temperment - even with all the cars and people around and just completing the last day of competition....he was just wonderful. Just a beautiful example of the breed in structure as well. Caraq actually brought me his toy a few times and was accepting of me immediately. Hardy and his wife were very nice, taking the time (especially after a long weekend of competition) to speak with me.
