okay, I took him to the local vet hospital tonight - I didn't want to wait. No tick born illnesses, cbc was sent out will know more tomorrow. Any ideas since he was negative on the tick born illnesses?

Lymes can be tricky to test for....when was his last dose of Frontline? I wonder sometimes what the chemicals can do to them systemically.
Good luck to you and your pup, I hope you get answers soon.

I apply frontline and heartworm the middle of each month so 6/15 was last time.

well, at the vet they did a thorough exam. my pup didn't object to any part of the exam. Hip and elbows exam was good - no pain or discomfort. Now, he appears to be favoring his two front legs heavily - limping/lameness on each side. He's still in pain so I'm giving him ascriptin - doesn't seem to help. very frustrating don't know what's going on.

Question??? Can he run normally? is the limping only when he walks? and when he's stood is he leaning back on his heels with his back hunched?
If so it could be pano

yes I've noticed the hunch....Only when he walks but I've been keeping his activity limited so no running but I'll give it a try to see. I hope it just pano , we'll be at the vets again this week for sure. he is big but not fat. he's tall actually looks skinny on the lean side, ribs show. 98lbs at 9 months old eats 3-4 cups of ACANA Wild Prarie food per day, moderate excercise. recent pix below....

98lbs at 9 months?
Is he big boned? and has he just shot up in height? as in did he look like he'd grown a set of legs overnight?
