"It makes training 100% easier when their entire focus is to me as their source of play, engagement..."

That's it in a nutshell.  My dogs are more interested in where I am going and what I am doing and being in the middle of it because I am the funnest thing around.

Hello Frogmanusa,  Imagine you go to Spain to live.  It is often quite natural to seek out a small group community of same nationality, so that you can chat and share the same language and culture, while enjoying the contrast of another foreign Country.  Well, those other dogs will be speaking your puppy's language better than you!  Your puppy will hone in on what she recognises ..... canine dogs speaking her language.  All this before she establishes the much necessary human/dog pack unit together with you!

I would not rely on someone else to be interacting, guiding and responding to my dogs - that is my job.  Especially while she is young, building the bond between you is very important.  Particularly natural respect between you.  If she were to be unruly with another dog - where are you to deal with it?  If another dog were to become aggressive with your dog - where are you to deal with it?  She will be learning to take notice of the canine pack around her, and learning their rules with her.  The Owner should be at the forefront of a dog's focus and awareness, not in the background out of sight out of mind .......

However, this is your puppy, and therefore you must make the decisions that suit you and the future of your dog.  I wish you both a wonderful enjoyable shared life together.

Regards,
Vixen
