If pups responed well to steriods and anti biotics fluids etc, I'd say it was more likely to have been an underlying infection that in combo with the vaccine has wiped the floor with him.

Pup should be up and around and back to normal within 24 to 48 hours

Let us know please :)

He is eating fine.  He is trying to get back to back to jumping off the walls.  But his coordination is still not there.  He is walking better but still arching his back and not normal looking.

Do you this that this reaction could cause permenant damage to his coordination or does he just need more time.

You are so lucky for getting your pup to the vet in time, I trust your breeder had the vaccine under refrigeration when they received it in the mail, but it is hard to know if at the place they ordered it from did. When we give pups their first shots we have the owner and pup stay in a comfortable room for awhile to make sure the pup does not react. Go to your vet next time for vaccination and they will give the pup a anitihistimine shot before they give him the vaccine. Again I am glad you pup survived.
Always,
Cee

I had a dog react like this and he had seizures his entire life. Hate to be the bearer of bad news; I hope your dog is not like mine and I hope he does fine.

I hope to God you don't vaccinate this dog again.

This is precisely why I don't vaccinate.

Another good web site to read is New Vaccination Protocols.
Good information for both cats and dogs.
I hope the pup gets better!
