"Who is the breeder? Website? Which liiter?"

Cherokee Rose Country Ranch

Smack dab at the top of the screen in the navigation links it says, "W. German Shepard."  The drop down? "About West German Shepards."

The information on the page is copied and pasted from the Fleischerheim website, but I was none too impressed with the fact of the breeding and raising of multiple breeds.

Other errors?

(Besides spelling errors such as "guarentee," "Gurarantee,"kennels for BROADING," but really anytime someone has to put "x" in front of an adjective for an already small dog breed turns me off - - "xxtiny Shih-Tzu")
"hip dysphasia"
"crippling dysphasia"

It's definitely not a person that I would want to do business with.  Yes, this is a Fleischerheim breeder.  They advertise on Kijiji with a link back to Fleischerheim for puppy/litter information. These folks could be the nicest people in the world, but what they advertise, if I was in the market for a puppy, I would steer clear of someone who couldn't spell the breed correctly and bred various other dogs.

VonWald ,
Is it possible that they work with animals because they are not strong in communication/spelling skills ?? I am Dyslexic and by no means can I spell or recognize basic (dumb) spelling errors when I proof read.

They also look a little older ,and maybe it never occurred to them to use google to check for the word dysplasia.

As for breeding multiple breeds.. NOW .. if they had 100 dogs I would be concerned.. it looks to me like they have at least one pair of each breed.. totaling some where around 6+ dogs ( There is a GSD breeder in my area that has 60+ dogs of one breed for working only producing sometimes 4 litters a month - that seems excessive to me ) .. CRCR have appropriate kennels and a beautiful yard and boarding facility.. its very possible that there modest website may bring the buyers ( 80 %) that don't want to show or breed and are just wanting a pet.    Just because it would not appeal to an pro breeder like some , its probably very effective.

Now whats impressive about Flesherhim is that they do Mentor these other breeders ! HELLO ?? There are too many breeders that keep to them selves, and rather shake a stick at a newbie .. how is that improving the breed ?? We need MORE mentors out there picking up the slack of the newbies .. and not let so many fail.

GSDPACK

I am was born in non English speaking country. I learned my first English word when I was 19teen. I have a web site and I am also very critical of spelling and grammar. I can write but I can't correct my grammar. I make a lot of spelling mistakes and errors...but I also like to be a professional and show that I care about the language I speak and I do the work and correct and have my writing checked. Maybe they don't find every mistake.. but I will make sure I know how to spell shepahered..... my new word for today.

I agree if somebody doesn't take the time to actually write properly and makes multiple mistakes.. HUGE turn off.

as for the dogs and the kennel.. the prices are way to steep for a show dog I can get for about 2 grand from very similar lines. But if somebody wants to pay that.... let them do it.

GSDPACK....that is all I was trying to say.  I was not commenting on their ability to breed or whatever they do.  I was stating, and quite clearly so, that if someone couldn't spell the name of the BREED of dog they are breeding, then that would be a turn-off for me.  Never once did I say they were crappy breeders or couldn't take care of animals.

IN MY PERSONAL OPINION (key phrase there,) I (that does not mean everyone else in the world) would not contact someone/purchase an animal from someone that bred various breeds (regardless of how many pairs each - do they show? do they title? how much experience with those breeds?) and couldn't spell the breed name correctly.

I commented on another page...just want to say again I have 4 dogs aquired from Cherokee Rose Country Ranch over the past 10 years, they are delightful, obviously lovingly raised and wonderfully healthy! Our 10 year old is as healthy as a youngster!

I said it before, and I'll say it again:

"Is it possible that they work with animals because they are not strong in communication/spelling skills ?? I am Dyslexic and by no means can I spell or recognize basic (dumb) spelling errors when I proof read."

Then you have someone check it for you to make sure it's correct.  Sorry, it looks really, really bad to have so many errors.  Not even getting the breed name right?  Hip dysphasia??  Nope, no excuses when you are running a  business.  I'm with VonWal - if these people cannot even be bothered to get correct information out there - too lazy to have someone proof read for them if they cannot do it themselves - and we don't know if that's the case, that they even are dyslexic, they may very well not be - too lazy to get that part of it right, which is the part that everybody sees, then I wouldn't go near them.

"They also look a little older ,and maybe it never occurred to them to use google to check for the word dysplasia."

More proof of their ignorance, then, if they know nothing about dysplasia!!  Isn't that a huge red flag right there?
