9 German Shepherds.. 1 Ferret,(rescue) 1 guinea pig,(rescue) and 3 cats, (rescue) They all get along quite nicely though one day I thought Twister had ate the cat, He was asleep on my bed with the cat and the cats head was in his mouth, of course his mouth was gaping wide open and the cat just opened his eyes and looked at me like "Hey what's up out there"? I nearly had heart attack. The same cat Nurses on Twister's neck and any other dog he can get to tolerate it. the ferret is the joker of the bunch, will take on any shep we have, some like him and some don't know what to make of him but they all seem to get along, He's not been discovered as a squeeky toy "YET" Good Post this was fun reading everyone's stories. My GSD lives with an elderly Shar Pei and silly Chihuahua. The Shar Pei is the boss of the pack even though she is completely blind. The GSD is a good boy and lays down so that Shar Pei can "beat him up". The Chi ignores both dogs for the most part although she will tease the GSD if the mood is on her. Thankfully the GSD is good tempered and solid and tolerates both dogs antics and for the most part is busy following my footsteps around the house.

Our Germans shepherds live with four house cats. We do have to watch one of our girls with the cats, the others are fine with them. Two of the dogs share laps with the cats. They learned young to "be easy with the kitties".
