Pretty simple then really.
You have no signed contract. You have the AKC papers, you have possession of the dog, he is yours.
The one thing that should be kept in mind is, your actions from now forward could also possibly reflect how other breeders deal with you.
IOW, if the dog is being sold etc, perhaps some of the $ should then be turned over to the breeder ie: puppy price.

Thanks Jenny... I just looked and somehow the beginning of the story is moved... I will try to fix it so it is easier to read.
