Mine came from Weston Supply--www.westonsupply.com
They should have rebuilt ones too.

I can grind 70# of chickenbacks or necks in about 10 minutes--It can grind much faster than I can feed it

I live in Ohio and have concerns about feeding Venison because of Chronic Wasting Disease that is prevalent in many deer in the region.
It has come to the point that carcass composting operations are either required to landfill compost produced from deer carcasses or place it on the ground onsite as a soil amendment.

Toxoplasmosis is another concern, but I am thinking, with that large amount of venison, the meat is coming from a federally inspected facility?  Or at least a domestic herd?

My puppies are 3 weeks old and already on Raw (ground, my own formula). I noticed that the mom is not as patient with them (they have teeth coming in) and she shortened the feeding time, she tried but the look on her face told me she was in a little bit of pain. So I came home with this puppy formula sort of powder. Mixed it, offered it and after 10 minutes the puppies had it all over them and no success eating it. So I got pissed, took some freshly ground turkey (Thanksgiving formula for my clients..LOL) and put it on the ground. Those suckers couldnt walk well but they sure hurried on their short legs and ate it, nothing was left.

I guess mother nature knows the best and my puppies are going to be fed raw since they are only 3 weeks old... go figure.

To the OP: no grinder will take care of venison bones. I at elast have no clue about one and I have made extensive research about grinders.

A good grinder will take care of chicken and turkey bones (poultry/birds) that is about it. So I recommend LEM, Sam Bear, Eagle (I think they stopped making the big one),

Cabellas sucked.

I grind about 500 pounds a month with LEM (turkey and chicken) it is not super fast but it works fantastic. My next purchase will be a 3 phase monstrosity!

You can start feeding raw meat as soon as you start weaning pups from mom.
Caution about feeding ground meat, ONLY feed raw ground meat that came from only 1 animal and was freshly ground the same day you bought it.  Most large grocery stores can do this for you in their butcher area.
Don't feed raw pre-packaged ground meat that came that way to the store, it likely contains meat from multiple animals in it and there is a much higher chance that it is contaminated and has a higher pathogen count, this stuff is only safe cooked.

I once slaughtered a large 10lb rabbit, skinned it and fed it whole to a litter of puppies.  I didn't make any cuts on it at all, still had it's guts, feet, head, etc. all intact, only the skin removed.  This was a litter of 8 six week old GSD pups who had never tasted raw meat before.  It was amazing to watch them, this adorable cuddly puppies turned into a vicious shark feeding frenzy, they ripped that rabbit to shreds devouring it.  I did note that they consumed the guts, organs and softest flesh first.  They were able to seperate all the limbs and head from the rabbit's body in their tug-o-war over it.  They gorged themselves on it but were not able to eat all of it, they did not finish the rear legs, back and head so mom got to clean up after them :)   I really wish I had video-taped it.

Beardog, there is no cases of CWD in our area. http://www.georgiawildlife.com/node/326
Wanderer, All places that process meat here, that I know of have to at least be inspected by the state.
GSDPACK, Thank you so very much! :)
