We spoke about this before, REMO was going to win no matter what..everytime he went around the ring, everyone booed him...many of you here picked him to win, eventhough he is not a top dog

by gsd100 on 08 September 2011 - 22:09

VA1 means the best GSD right? Do you think he could pass this test? Lots of mailinois pass it...

Could Remo take this kind of pressure? Could he even jump over the boxes to get to the decoy?

He being the VA1 dog is by definition the best of the best according to the SV... right?

I'm guessing the heeling part would be difficult.  The surprise attack is done as it should be, A SURPRISE.  The Sieger Show "attack out of the blind" is an insult to everyone who has ever been a helper and stood in front of a dog.

I'm just guessing, but I would imagine most people out there are not interested in the working aspect of the GSD. They only do it because it is required. You're beating a dead horse. Besides, what is your interest in the GSD? You have malinois. Just make sure your breed stays perfect.

by Duderino on 09 September 2011 - 05:09

You are correct however, I enjoy watching good working dogs work no matter what the breed, I just prefer the Malinois.  I'll be the first one to say that "if" I see a good working Rottweiler, it's a good working dog but,,,,,,I don't want to own it.  I have owned Shepherds in the past but just got tired of crossing my fingers to "hope" that all the cards fell in the right places.  No more GSD's for me, okay for others but no okay for me.

by Duderino on 09 September 2011 - 05:09

BTW, I don't feel any breed is perfect, it's all about what you can tolerate and what you have the ability to work with.

Dude, they are purty darnet!

GSD100... he would circle the boxes purty and pee on the truck. Then he would trot even purtier than you can imagine and circle little more.... after some exhausting running around, he would stack himself into perfection... and then he would sit and look like a dud... I have seen it..lol

Not a great effort even from a Show Line, The whole test was a weak one both from Dog and the test it took which certainly needs up grading to a higher level that was a complete joke of a test for Dogs.
A 14 month old WL would perform with more gusto and power than that dog showed in the video. and i own one which would have done it at that age.

Superb video. Superb dog.

That was a real surprise attack (as it should be) reacted to without hesitation showing off the dogs natural courage. The speed and agility of the dog is just lovely. That is a dog that I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of - ever.
