JFU, Nero's progeny were banned because of some joint surgery performed on Nero and kept on the QT, so to say. This secret was eventually exposed
I know this has been discussed in much detail before, but why did the S.V. really issue an exclusion of Nero progeny (born after 9, August 2004-thanks SGBH) certain date) from entry into the Zuchtbuch? Perhaps if for no other reason than to make a public example of Nero's owner and show to the world that yes, the S.V. can and will apply severe discipline when it is deemed necessary. While I cannot quote any specific topics, we all know they have been criticised repeatedly for appearing to overlook some faults that appeared later in a dog's life and were passed to his progeny. I think this is why the Nero action seemed so draconian in nature.
Personally I thought that it was a very severe sentence for Nero's progeny, but on the date that Nero was removed from the Zuchtbuch, then essentially he never existed. I guess that is one (1) way to view it. At least the earlier progeny (and their owners) were spared this punishment. It could have been much worse.

Hi Chris, yes i do have a very nice litter out of Teejay and my Yani vom Christinen Brunnen. 6 puppies whelped, 6 strong and healthy babies, i can post pictures in a bit, i just noticed this thread and wanted to acknowledge it :)
Teejays character is excellent.. i have watched this young male grow, i have seen his bitework from a younger age to present and i am about the charachter first when breeding, it works out that his structure is exactly what i need with Yani to compliment her already excellent qualities, she needs a few things, higher wither, black mask and some black in the saddle... her red is very red... as always i get strong red with her...
I cannot wait to see how they grow, time will tell...
will send pics in a bit :)

Thank you for all the kind comments on Teejay. He is the first dog to make USA and NA Jugendsieger. He has wonderful character and robust drives. We just returned from Europe. He was the youngest dog in the ring and made V5 last Sunday at the LG show in Saarland out of 20 something. He was also V4 in Holland. In both shows, he was placed in and around many dogs from the top 20 V's from the prior Sieger Show. He has also placed above many dogs from the top 20 SG's in prior years as well. Hopefully, this terrible heat in New England won't effect his coat and he'll be in top shape for Oberhausen. Thanks again- JOHN
