Oh Kitkat, I'm so sorry!  You and your family have my deepest condolences.

One of my favorite conversations was when she talked about her (your) mother, I think Missbeeb was on that thread, it was a joy. If I can find it again, I'll post a link.

YES DOGS CAN SENSE DEATH. I HAD AN EERIE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS MYSELF BACK IN 2005.

My last GSD, Kaiser, used to hate going into the vet's surgery. He was normally a very confident dog, and could be very dominant at times, but he would be a bundle of nerves in there. Sometimes I had to drag him in and he would shake constantly. Anyway, someone recently told me that dogs can sense and smell death, hence he acted the way he did.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, and beetree, Jeanne told me many times you were her favorite one on the database to talk to, thank you.
It really is nice  to think that there is something out there waiting for us when we are done here. The stories and experiences of others with similar "events' is sort of proof that there is life afterwards. Faith is one thing, experience is another.

Kitkat, I've been trying to find that thread, and I can't for the life of me remember what the header was, It was a funny off topic one I THINK, but none of my searches have been successful.sad I do appreciate hearing that your sister enjoyed our talks, too. That was unexpected and I am touched.

Hi KitKat, I'm so sorry to hear of Jeanne's passing. I'm glad you had Hospice to help you through. Hospice is a wonderful concept; I've never met a Hospice worker who didn't truely care about their patients & families.
I am so glad I got to meet you at Shelley's trial. I hope you are doing OK, & that you have support with you.
Heaven has another Angel....!
And yes, I have stories to tell about our dogs & death. They DO know, they seek to comfort us, & be comforted themselves.
I send you my prayers, & most sincere condolences, jackie harris
